This vegetarian cookbook is both gluten-free and soy-free with a strong focus on quality ingredients sourced from grass-fed animals including high quality dairy and pastured eggs. But this cookbook is for anyone – not just vegetarians. The reason why is that you will learn things not normally of focus in other cookbooks geared toward omnivores including:
-How to be a real food vegetarian and enjoy a gluten and soy-free lifestyle
-How to save money by cutting out meat for dinner once or twice a week (a la Meatless Mondays)
-Understanding why going gluten and soy-free as a vegetarian may be good for you
-Learning about why processed foods are bad and how that impacts the soy you might be eating as a vegetarian
-Learning which cooking oils are healthy
-Understanding the benefits of fermentation
I love that Hannah focuses on the above and this book is going to help educate vegetarians on how to eat vegetarian the most healthy way without ruining their gut!

With her latest cookbook, Gluten Free Vegetarian, Hannah Healy once again demonstrates why she's a shining star in the vegetarian cooking world. I am a big fan of Hannah's Healy Eats Real blog and I love the creative recipes she puts together. They're easy enough for this working mom of two to get on the table at the end of a long day--and I can be confident that I'm feeding my family healthy meals that even my kids will like.

I mainly bought the book for the recipe of those sweet potatoes on the top. I got so much more. I can't wait to eat my way through all the recipes in here. You, your family, your tummy, and your health won't be sorry! This is a book I can confidently recommend to friends, family, and my Real Time Mama blog readers.

This book has done what so many vegetarian recipe books fail to do: creating nutrient-dense, REAL FOOD dishes that don't contain gluten or soy. This is a tall order and Gluten-Free Vegetarian totally delivers! Not only are the recipes amazing and so mouth-watering, Hannah also provides readers with healthier alternatives to refined sugar, industrial oils, white flour, and processed dairy, and an easy step-by-step tutorial to sprout grains and legumes, the way they were intended to be.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to cut gluten out of their diet and balance it out with healthy, vegetarian dishes. It's a top pick for many of my clients as they transition from a highly-processed diet to real, whole, nutritious food.

I got really sick after eating vegetarian soy burgers and milk for several years. When I stopped eating soy and gluten I got much healthier and my digestion improved. This book gave me recipes to help me in the process. It was great to learn about how to make nuts and seed more nutritious by soaking them and this book has instructions. I am crazy for the raw desserts too because I can take them to parties and no one knows they are actually healthy. I will recommend this book to friends.

I really love this book that Hannah put together. I love that the recipes can easily be made dairy-free for the most part which is an added bonus for me. I have already made several of her recipes and the instructions are all easy to follow and the dishes were all delicious!

I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to ditch gluten and soy while staying meat-free and healthy! :)
