Gordon Ramsay amassed an extraordinary 12 stars over a 10-year period for his restaurants in London, New York and Paris. It was informational, I figured it would be more elaborate as to the tv series boiling point. Although that was mostly media corrupting it like always. However, any knowledge and wisdom shared in that light is priceless. Thank you for sharing gordon and for those amazing recipes. True gem.

This book was given to me as a gift from someone who knew I was a great fan of making a mess in the kitchen and of Gordon Ramsay.

First, the book is beautiful, coffee-table sized and heavy, full of amazing pictures and some accompanying text. In some cases it's Gordon talking about food, in others it's a short biography about his life in kitchens and the skills he's learned, and still others discuss how proper kitchens and restaurants operate. There's a whole culture to the people who craft food that this book only hints at, but the passion comes through.

The last half of the book is filled with recipes and cooking/plating instructions and they're not for the faint of heart. Starters, mains, desserts and more, many requiring exotic or expensive ingredients and creative preparation. But each one is an exciting addition to your kitchen, and personally I really enjoy picking a recipe and challenging myself with it.

I treasure this book, it's displayed proudly in my kitchen. I don't mean to gush, I just really like it.
