J'ai repéré ce livre chez des amis scandinaves. Les photos faisaient envie... Pas déçue par les recettes qui sont à la fois simples et délicieuses. Parfait pour les repas de famille du dimanche.

Received fast and in new condition. Be aware In his cookbooks, since Chef Ramsey is from the UK he uses measurements and terms that are not standard and in some cases not familiar to us US cooks, which is very disappointing since that means we will need to purchase equipment that reads grams and milliliters And the oven temps are in centigrade so also have to be converted. I found no conversion chart anywhere in his cookbooks, so in order to try his I'm sure excellent recipes, will require considerable time to convert!

Wow! I've only tried a couple of F Word recipes so far and they've been both incredibly delicious and quite easy. Yes, a lot of the recipes do call for some fancypants ingredients, but dishes centered around things like duck and sea bass I save for special occasions. I'll also make substitutions like buying whatever white-flesh fish is local and reasonably priced instead of sea bass. Some recipes are so fancypants I'm unlikely to every actually try them (like fois gras or scallops). But there are plenty of other recipes that are great for every day or random weekend cooking like his red wine beef stew and garlic risotto. The recipes are usually quite simple but can take some time to prepare (hence the title). Still highly recommend for a cookbook.

Note - I do agree that some of the pages are hard to read due to the font and color choices (like white writing on pale yellow background) but those are usually just Gordon Ramsay's thoughts and introductions to recipes. The recipes themselves seem to all be clear and easy to read.

I've been a huge fan of Gordon for some time, watching his shows, reading his autobiography etc. I have 5-6 of his cookbooks and they are all great. He adds some humor in there, and makes sure not to present things above the average cooks head. The food is excellent, the suggested menus work well together (although I often interchange dishes). As well as themed 'lunches' there are also little asides e.g. 5 ways with carrots, and the spiced carrots with star anise has been a big hit with our guests. I've used Gordon's honey mustard marinade a lot, and the beef casserole with mustard mash potatoes has to be one of my favorites. Definite worth adding to your cookbook collection

If you enjoy the show "The F Word" I am sure that several recipes have caught your eye. Many of them are extremely simple but yield tremendous flavor. I recommend this book to anyone that is interested in going a step up in cooking. The instructions are very clear, and many of the recipes can even be looked up on Youtube if you ever get stuck. Ramsay balances flavors so well, and doesn't care for any gimmicky recipes like many other cookbooks offer. He is about food and flavor, and this book certainly delivers that.

This book has a ton of great recipes that are easy to find and follow. I have trouble making ice cubes and found that I was preparing great dishes on the first try. Some of the recipes are a bit fancy for my taste, but there's plenty for the newbie to enjoy!
