Présentation de l'éditeur

It's been almost a year since Rylie Gresham was bitten by a werewolf on Gray Mountain. Now something is beckoning her back to the place she was attacked, along with every other werewolf in the world. But they aren't the only ones heeding the call. A group of hunters notices them gathering and sees it as their chance to wipe out the entire species.

Seth is about to graduate high school when he learns of the final hunt. He secretly plans to save Rylie and his werewolf brother even though he has to play along with the hunters to do it. But Rylie doesn't want to be saved. She's already decided to solve her problems with a silver bullet if answers aren't waiting on Gray Mountain.

One way or another, everything is about to end—whether it means Rylie's liberation or the end of her life…

This is the first book of the series I read. I don't normally read werewolf books, but took a chance and glad I did. My only problem is I had to put it down and go to work.

Yes it is a love story, but the love story is a minor part of the story, it is an action story, something was happening on every page. The werewolfs are all human with human feels and ability to think and plan and learn to think and plan while not only human but wolfs.

HASH(0x9654e918) étoiles sur 5 Lovely ending!!! Wishing for more!!! 22 juillet 2012

This final book of the series was fantastic! I couldn't believe how it ended, and I'm quite happy with the ending that was given. There was a lot of struggles to make it to have a happy ending, but I do wish that the series was a little longer.

Rylie really grows through the series. As the series progressed, Rylie had grown to hate her wolf. In this last book, she has reached a deep depression over what she is. From the moment she first became a werewolf, she has not enjoyed it. However, with the help of her boyfriend Seth, it has been liveable till now. In the past, as she struggled to control her werewolf, she had tried running from him, but Seth still cares for her and will always love her. By the end though dispite all that has happen she learns to accept who and what she is.

Seth doesn't think of himself as a hunter in this book, due to his relationship with Rylie. He can't stand the thought of harming werewolves. His dedication for Rylie extends as far as him going with the hunters with the purpose of trying to stop them. However, his mother is along the hunters, it's dangerous for both Rylie and Abel, his brother.

Abel is actually a lot nicer in this book then in the previous books. It made me like him a lot more and wish he had his own book so I can see if he finds someone to love him. He does help Rylie a lot in this book, by keeping her calm when she starts to lose control, and also keeps her safe from the hunters. He's a really great guy and I wish there was more of him.

This book series isn't all flowers and happiness. It's about being a wolf and having a curse, a curse that could cause the wolves to hurt people. Something is calling every werewolf in the world to Gray Mountain. They have all been having strange dreams and they need to get to that place. This book I found better then the others for all the action it has in it as well as guessing what's going to happen to Rylie and Abel as they try to escape from the hunters who are trying to wipe out ever werewolf there. Not to mention a little mistake Abel says about Seth that causes Rylie to doubt her boyfriend.

You will enjoy this last book of the series as much as I have believe me it's well worth it being the last book, making you wish there was more.

HASH(0x9654e7e0) étoiles sur 5 Amazing end to an awesome series 1 juillet 2012

I've never ended a series before, so I can't say for certain what it's like. But I imagine it would be difficult -- not only to wrap up everything in a satisfying manner, but to give your characters and world an unforgettable send-off. I imagine it's hard to say goodbye to the characters that have lived in your head for a year, sometimes longer (well, if you're me....).

SM Reine nailed it with Gray Moon Rising. She not only wrapped everything up, but she gave us a truly epic end to her amazing Seasons of the Moon series.

This is a spoiler-free review, so I can't get into too much detail. What I can say is that everything -- and I mean everything -- heats up and explodes. In a good way, of course.

There's a mystery as to why the wolves are called to specific location. If you've read the other books, it will be very familiar. But it's a bit darker this go around (and the other books are very dark) and poor Rylie and Seth have their hands full dealing with the hunters. There's a madperson on the loose, which threatens everything. There's the reason why they're called and what results. Rylie plays a big role in this, and what happens to her is amazing.

The mythology and worldbuilding in this series is very unique and cool, which makes this series different from what's out there.

*Possible spoilers below* (I couldn't help myself)

Rylie and Seth get their HEA. My only quibble is Abel -- it appeared that SM Reine had a possible love triangle going on. That got me excited, because I'm a huge fan of character torture. But it wasn't meant to be. I suppose it might have taken away from the main action, so I forgive her for that. *winks*

*End possible spoilers*

The story was amazing. I mean, she kept ramping up the tension until I couldn't STOP reading. I was incapable of stopping.

As for the endend,it was great, satisfying, and happy. I will miss Rylie, Seth, and Abel. I'll miss them a lot. But it's time they got their happily ever after.

Thanks, Sara, for bringing these incredible stories and characters into our lives. We'll never forget them.

HASH(0x9654ec6c) étoiles sur 5 Great End, but Definitely Want More! 1 août 2014

Although this is a great ending to the original series, I'm very glad the author decided to continue on with Rylie and Seth's story with the Cain Chronicles. Normally while I'm reading a series, I always end up rooting for the man that first enters the scene, but I can't help but feel that Seth might not be the best match for Rylie. Abel seems like a pretty good match for Rylie, in my opinion!

Once again, Eleanor proved that she is beyond a doubt the craziest mother in the history of crazy mothers. Maybe I'm just a bleeding heart, but I doubt that there's much of anything that my son could do that would make me want to kill him! Even if he turned fuzzy, which would suck since I'm allergic to dogs.

To me, the most appealing aspect of this book was the fact that Rylie returned to the site of her wolf creation. I just felt that it was a great place to end, right where the entire mess began.

Great conclusion, but definitely left me wanting more!

It is so sad to see a series come to an end. But I fully enjoyed reading these lovely books. they are well written and full of romance and horror and laughter. If your looking for a series that has all emotions wrapped up in a book, this series if for you. I love the tension between the hunters and werewolves. I was totally lost in these books (in a good way). I seriously couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed the series.

It says something when you read a book and feel like your watching a movie. S.M. Reine is a genius!!!! I can see a movie or two or three come from these wonderful books. Love them a lot, and you will too. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.
