She also claims that the gospels don't claim Jesus is God. Her statement is patently false. See for example, John 8:58. Read "Putting Jesus in His Place: The Case For the Deity of Christ," by Bowman. His book explores biblical passages on the deity of Christ.
She said on page 98 that Michael Dummet claims an apparent consensus of Roman Catholic teachers of theology in America believe that Jesus died without believing he was Christ, and that he knew from his mother who his natural father was (no such evidence exists), and that Jesus' body decomposed in the grave. But she did not cite a reference for this.
The book disappointed me because it doesn't discuss Bigfoot in the "B" section, and says nothing in the "C" section about Cryptozoology. She also gave false information when she claimed that St. Paul was one of the original 12 apostles. He was not. Paul did not convert until Acts 9, after Jesus had ascended to Heaven. Also, there has been tremendous research and evidence amassed after 1991 about OBE's which strongly support life after death.
