Biographie de l'auteur

Amy Lansky graduated from the University of Rochester in 1977 with degrees in mathematics and computer science. She received her doctorate in computer science from Stanford University in 1983. After many years working at various Silicon Valley research institutions, Lansky made an unusual career move -- she became a student, writer, and promoter of homeopathic medicine. This was prompted by the miraculous cure of her son's autism with homeopathy. She serves on the board of the National Center for Homeopathy and has been active in the national health freedom movement. She is dedicated to helping others -- especially families with autistic children -- discover the curative powers of homeopathy.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great intro to homeopathy! 2 janvier 2012

The Impossible Cure details how a loving mother found the only remedy for her child. She takes the reader through her thought processes and decisions, and how she came to use homeopathy to cure her child. It explains the homeopathic method in a way that anyone can understand.

Yes - homeopathy - which I thought was bogus until I saw with my own eyes that it works. As for people who think homeopathy is a placebo - Baloney!

I became interested in homeopathy when my 14 year old cat was diagnosed with FIP in July of 2010. The vet only recommended vitamins (no cure), and said it was a fatal disease - my cat would probably only last a month or so. I researched and found a veterinary homeopath, paid for a consult, and then was recommended a homeopathic remedy and the explanation of how to mix it aqueously and dose by the Fibonacci series.

My cat doesn't know what a placebo is. Yet, she would only eat the bites treated with remedy. When she needed to change potency she would refuse the treated food, or plain bite, yet eat the food if the next higher potency was on it.

My cat was tested in July 2011 (indeed a year later) - and has no presence of the corona virus. The vet is amazed and has referred several pet-owners to the veterinary homeopath. She said she had never seen a complete reversal of FIP. MY cat will be 16 this year.

I have since started using homeopathy myself, and my husband is using it. Energy medicine works. I will never use an allopathic medicine again if I have the choice.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 A perfect gift! 15 décembre 2011

I recently bought this book to educate myself on homeopathy while my 5 year old twin boys were under a well known homeopath's care in Chicago. I've known homeopathy all my life - having spent 20 years of my life in India. This book explained homeopathy in a way I'd never known - even though we used it with everyday illnesses successfully all our lives.

This book covers it all and has something in it for someone who doesn't know "h" of homeopathy to a seasoned homeopath. I mentioned to our homeopath who's been practicising homeopathy for over 20 years and also happens to be an MD - that I was in the midst of reading Amy Lansky's book - during our appointment. He pointed to his bookshelf where he had his own copy of the same book and smiled.

My father was recently visiting us and saw me reading this book. My grandfather used to be a self-trained homeopath with quite a few materia-medicas and used to treat acute cases in the neighborhood as a hobby in the mid 1900s. My dad was quite impressed with this book - he read it from cover to cover.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in homeopathy. I highly recommend homeopathy itself. I find myself promoting it every chance I get. This book would be a perfect gift for someone who you might think would benefit from homeopathy - and trust me there's not a single person out there - who would not benefit from it- special needs or not! More people need to know about homeopathy - it is the better way to heal. My dream for the future is for homeopathy to be recognized enough that it's covered through insurance so more people are able to benefit from it. I highly recommend buying this book for yourself and others as well, especially if you know a special needs parent - this book is a really good introduction to homeopathy.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Fantastic book about a very important topic 11 octobre 2013

A powerhouse of a book about the system of medicine known as homeopathy.

If you have any interest in finding out about the most powerful and safe medicine that exists on the planet, you will do well to read this book - written by an intelligent, scientifically-trained professional.

Anyone with interest in treating all types of disease with a safe and gentle, yet remarkably effective therapy will like it.

The book is very well-written and goes into the (mostly) unknown history of homeopathy (in the US and elsewhere), why the orthodox medical groups fought bitterly to have it expunged from our society and the tremendous promise it holds to bring health to humanity in a way FAR beyond what conventional pharmaceuticals or even other holistic health systems can do.

There's a reason homeopathy is still used, 200 years later, by hundreds of millions around the world, despite relentless opposition from organized medicine - it works, and works brilliantly.

Buy the book and discover what is possible.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 A good book about homeopathy 8 novembre 2014

Very well written. This book is quite persuading in support of homeopathy, an alternative medicine which used to be very active but has been put down and neglected for about 100 years in America. The story of miraculous cure of her son's autism is amazing. The book contains many more personal experiences from many people in many different health situation.

I think the fact that the author was a scientist is really helping. She is logical and rational throughout. She covers the birth of homeopathy and the history of homeopathy in the US. She also bravely discuss the recent scientific background for homeopathy. All was done in a logical and balanced way; though of course she is strongly in support of homeopathy, she covers scepticism toward homeopathy as well.

I'm new to homeopathy and I've only read a few books about homeopathy but this one is so far the best of all.

I have read this book to the end and I would recommend it to anyone who has been let down by conventional doctors and is looking for an effective and natural way to help their children. I have two kids with PANDAS and homeopathy is working for them, thank God!
But really, the reviews should not be about a person's individual experience with homeopathy. The book, while sharing some personal experience, is a very good introduction to homeopathy, and even for those who are already familiar with it, it explains so many aspects of it in such a clear way.
Of course, no book can take the place of a good homeopath. That's not what the book is about. It's not a "how-to-cure-your-child-overnight" manual! It is, however, a very good introduction and preparation if you are seriously interested in giving homeopathy a chance. So please do not be discouraged by negative reviews from people who simply are against homeopathy and have not actually tried it (or tried it for a short time only). There is no magic bullet. But homeopathy works, and it's not a "new-age" or "magical" approach. It is a science, and it takes a trained professional to administer it safely and effectively.
