I have been using a battery operated postal scale I have had for ages, and I wanted to get away from batteries. I picked this because I usually end up with 50 to 250 grams (measuring food weights for meals) and it seemed like a good price for a max 1lb scale (of which there are not very many available) and it had grams prominently on the face.
It matches my postal scale exactly both at low weights (20-50g) as well as the top end (400g range). It seems very accurate. The dial is huge, so it is easy to read. The tare knob works well - even though it is not conveniently located. I tared the container I use and have simply left the knob at that setting.
It is very nice to no have to rely on and on/off switch!
I would recommend this as a good 1 lb scale.
p.s. What is funny, is that because it was apparently assembled by an absent minded person the glass face was placed on in a reversed fashion so the 'Update' brand name is viewed from the back (the other side of the glass). It makes no difference, of course.
