What a great book!!! The story-line is truly captivating, and the end will completely surprise you. I love this book, and could not stop reading it until I was completely done! It had me totally hooked! “Italian Men: Love them or Hate them” is a page turner from the beginning, and all the way to the end! It’s packed with vivid scenes from Italy, an exhilarating romance, distant love, excitement, and misery. This is a brilliant combination that makes for a great read…trust me! The colorful characters that the author created are phenomenal too! It was really them that were able to pull me into the story and make it truly believable. They are very diverse, authentic and filled with real, relatable emotions and personalities.
The author really did a wonderful job with writing this. I was able to feel everything that the characters were experiencing; their love, hurt, jealously, happiness, gloom, etc. At the start of the story I felt remorseful for each and every character. Michelle, a beautiful African American was utterly lonely in a foreign country. Claudio, Michelle’s controlling boyfriend from Rome was constantly away due to his job and had trust issues because of a cheating ex-wife. Then, the handsome Italian man Michelle meets has overwhelming confidence (maybe too much) and without expecting it falls for her fast. You will be completely engrossed into these characters story while reading this short drama. It’s an exotic, international, interracial, romance unlike any other. A must-read, guaranteed to entertain and shock you.

A story about a woman facing a tough decision she needs to make, Italian Men, Love Them or Hate Them by Noirmoutier is teeming with plot twists enough to make any reader intrigued from the very beginning.

With a rather unusual way of storytelling, the novel starts with the protagonist Michelle Harris going back to her apartment in Italy. One of the more obvious things that set the novel apart from its contemporaries is that it is set in Italy, one of the most romantic countries in the world. Apart from the exotic location, the book also features characters from different backgrounds. For instance, chapter 4 opens with Michelle attending her language class and her classmates from countries all over the world introducing themselves. I think writing a love story with a backdrop of stunning Italy and with interesting characters whose personalities range—as much as their nationalities—is a refreshing perspective.

However, despite the atypical elements included in the story, the actual plot is not out of the ordinary. It's a classic story of love, being taken for granted, infidelity, and redemption. The book is only under a hundred pages, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come through as a proper novel. It does. It’s jam-packed with intrigue, drama, romance, and deception punctuation throughout with local color. Italian Men, Love Them or Hate Tem is certainly a page-turner and I only wish there was more of it to read.

Noirmoutier—whatever his or her real name is, did a great job with debut romance novel.

The story of one woman’s choices, an international relationship, cheating and love, set in the year 2000 in Milan, Italy. American Michelle is living in Italy, where she works as a French translator. She has an Italian boyfriend, but their relationship is far from ideal, and she feels taken for granted and neglected. When she meets Claudio at a restaurant, she is immediately intrigued, and that’s where the dramatic plot of this high energy romance novel takes off. Engaged in relationships with both men, Michelle has to do a lot of juggling to keep them apart. And she hasn't counted on the quirks of Italian men…or on how they tend to throw a wrench into her best laid plans.

This is a romance with a twist…and many plot twists. The interracial romance and the setting make it unusual, and the author has done an excellent job of making Italy, one of the most romantic places in the world, come alive for the reader. I was unsure, up until the very end, how the story would resolve. I found it an incredibly romantic, exciting and engaging modern love story.

Milan, Italy is the setting for this intriguing love story. Michelle, a beautiful African-American woman navigates her way not only through the beautiful scenery of one of the most romantic places in the world but must undertake some deep soul searching to find true happiness.

Noirmoutier is an excellent story teller. Her characters will resonate with any reader who can relate to the perils of love gone wrong but without judgement. She creates the perfect recipe for heartache and redemption in her story.

I'll be watching for a sequel to continue Italian men, Love Them or Hate Them. Well done, Noirmoutier.

Clever, whimsical and dramatic are just a few of the words that describe ‘Italian men, love them or hate them’ by Noirmoutier. The book is a story of love, sex and betrayal, all centered on a sophisticated female lead. Michelle Harris finds herself dealing with an uncomfortable situation, created by the fact that she has two male lovers. A gripping story full of romantic tension and a great read for those who like suspense and plot twists mixed in with their romance.
