Présentation de l'éditeur

After years in Boston and a year of working for herself as a contract consultant and adjunct professor, Dr. Anne Conner is ready to return home to work in her field as a marine biochemist and research scientist. With money running low, Anne jumps at the chance to interview for her dream job with the world famous Stanford Enterprises research company.

When she makes the final round of interviews, Anne decides to combine her time in Seattle interviewing with a vacation trip to her family's inn on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. The last thing she expected was to run in the object of her teenage dreams, Ben Carlson, who is on the island for his sister's wedding. Nor did she plan on the passion that erupts between them. Is their relationship only a vacation romance as they agreed from the beginning, or will it turn into something more when Anne moves back to Seattle?

Just as Anne begins to hope for more, the unthinkable is revealed. Ben is none other than her new boss. Worse yet is that he thinks that she only used him to get the job!

1.0 étoiles sur 5 Wall of Text 8 mai 2013

I would suggest that you try the pre-view before buying. It starts with a wall of text that was actually dialog. I kept reading, thinking that this was going to be humor and turn out to be the world's worst pre-recorded job offer. Nope, it was genuine, spoken dialog. Paragraphs and paragraphs of dialog that are really hard to read.

This is very poorly written, and apparently unedited since there are many typos. The story line is very improbable, and the conversations extremely stilted, so not believable. I gave up after a couple of chapters.

This book has too much sex. I don't need to know how they had sex in every other chapter. I got it the first time. Not enough story going on.

The story started slow, so slow I was worried it was not going to be good. However, the characters are likable, not extreme in any way. Their relationship is based on friendship which is only given by short thoughts of past memories.
It is not an exciting novel but a sweet love story.
What create the conflicts is somewhat weak if we take in consideration the time the H/h know each other but is a necessary tool to make for the tension and works of the happy ending.
I like that the H actually shows some emotional distress at some point and is not always the man of steel, unbreakable and in control.
Writing is not the best, typo errors and some long hard to follow sentences and paragraphs.
I did enjoyed the story very much as not all relationship are born of lusty, first love beginnings. If you want a steamy fast paced novel, this is not for you.
But if you enjoy nice, likable characters in a sweet story with spark in their love scenes this is a nice read.

I just don't understand why so many books have not been edited. Do you not at least have a friend who could catch most of the problems? The story is good, but it is so distracting to read over so many spelling and grammatical mistakes. Anne was spelled differently throughout. Too/to mistakes were common. Words were left out. So frustrating!
The sex scenes were redundant and not very attractive. The wording throughout the book was awkward, too wordy, and passive. There were tense changes throughout.
It's such a shame to have written a book, which is a big accomplishment, only to have not even gotten a proofreader, much less an editor, to help ensure that the story flows well.
I am not trying to offend or upset you (the author), but I hope you will get help before publishing another book.
I love to read - editing would be a fun job to me, so surely you can find someone who could do it.
Fellow readers: if these issues are not a deal-breaker for you, I would suggest you go ahead and read the book. Like I said, the story is good. The characters are likeable, and the setting is refreshing.
This book just needs a little help.
