Présentation de l'éditeur

There’s no place like home ...
For teacher Jenna McKnight, nothing spells “heartbreak” like finding her husband with somebody else--in her bed. It’s clearly time to reinvent herself. A new body, a new city, and a new job later, she’s done just that. The beautiful Auckland villa isn’t really her home, though. Finn Douglas and his kids aren’t really her family, however much she wishes they were. And playing house can be a dangerous game.

Rugby star Finn Douglas is just looking for a temporary nanny and housekeeper. Not a girlfriend, and definitely not a wife. He can’t resist Jenna’s cooking, it’s true. Who knew he’d have so much trouble resisting her? He wants to do what’s right for his kids. But waiting is so hard ...

Note: This STAND-ALONE romance, like New Zealand, contains a bit of steam. If that isn't your cuppa, you may want to visit a different country ... er, book.

I have never been to New Zealand but I feel like I've gone on an amazing trip courtesy of this book. The language is interwoven but throughout the book and acts as another character.
We meet Jenna having suffered a huge embarrassment in her marriage. After getting her life together again, she reluctantly becomes the nanny to a big time rugby star.
As an American living in New Zealand, Jenna's not current on the stars of the sport and Finn embarrasses himself at her job interview assuming she's after him to become his next wife. It works itself out and Jenna and his 2 children get along very well. Enough so that Finn starts to look at Jenna in a different light.
You can imagine what happens next (it is a romance after all) but this was a glorious read full of drama, high emotions and great sex. I'm going to now read some other books in this series and I'm sure I will enjoy them as well.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Jenna and Finn' s En Zed Love Saga! 3.75***** SPOILER ALERT 1 janvier 2017

Apart from being set in New Zealand (En Zed), the novel is full of NZ dialogue, phrases and Moari songs/sayings), yet the romantic tale followed one of the emotionally rescued damsel, who blossomed sexually and emotionally in the woman of the man's dreams. But it's then you realize that English can be vastly different across this planet. I had to actually determine the meanings of many strange words as they were used in context, like 'togs and jandals', because the Kiwi dictionary did not appear until the novel's end on my ebook reader. Life would have been simplistic, but not as much fun.

The story was about Jenna, who once a chubby, verbally abused and neglect throughout her childhood, mid-thirties, American/ teacher, who emigrated to NZ with her boyfriend, Jeremy( now her openly, gay, ex-husband), as she applied for a nanny position, post divorce. This job position was, unknown to her, at a famous, single parent, All Black, NZ Rugby player, Finn's, home to care for his two kids, Sophie and Harry, for six months, as he has to travel a great deal for his away professional games and daily strenuous practices, when at home. Their rough start transition from nanny and excellent cook to repressed, emergent lover, to impregnated employee to wife and 'mum' to his two kids. They both had similar former marriage history, and could relate to each other's plight.
Great character development and an interesting plot with a deep look into NZ rugby, and the 'not so easy' life of a professional athlete. The dialogue was interesting to decode, from an American point of view, and the athletes' professional conduct rules are truly enforced by mentorship and supervision. The NZ athletes were admirable, especially as US professionals athletes literally get away with sexual abuse and murder, with the pervasive 'boys will be boys' attitude that is rampant throughout US society, like the occurrence in the 2016 Olympics held in Brazil, with the US swim team and Ryan Lochte. The recipes were an extra bonus to the novel's conclusion.
Definitely a series to follow in 2017! Great Read!

OMG these stories just get better and better. I LOVE all of them and have a hard time putting them down once I start. I want them to just go on and on. Jenna and Finn. LOVED these two. Finn of course is larger than life. A single dad, fierce on the field and a softie at home. He is not as gorgeous as the rest of the heroes but you love him even more. Oh My...what a guy. Jenna is a great heroine. She had a tough upbringing, the mother from hell, then she marries and he is not what he seemed so she suffers the heartbreak of that. At 30 she figures that a lot of her dreams are out of reach. Course, I wanted to say, "LOOK right in front of you."

I love these New Zealand books. I read #4 before this one so I have them a little out of order. That is really no problem since all of these stories are stand alone books. Previous characters are mentioned but the story is about these two and two adorable kids. You just want the best for all of them. He is so lucky to have found her and she is so lucky to have found them. All things happen for a reason and they are what got her to a HEA. I loved this story and I highly recommend it. Add me to the 5 star group. I would give it 10 if they had 10. Great read and I can't wait to move on to #5.

About 2/3 through the book, I was ready to write a clean review, but then it heated up and had quite a few sex scenes and some intermittent swearing. The book seemed quite long. There were lots of taking kids to school, having lunch dates with other moms and cooking in the kitchen for Jenna. I liked her and Finn. The length definitely cemented their blossoming relationship. I think the author could have taken out 1/3 or 1/4 of the length and been fine. But if you're good with stretching out a story and getting to know the characters, this is a great book. I find myself short of patience, so I like a book to be able to be read semi-quickly and this one took quite a bit of time. But all in all, it's good.

Loved this book.

As a Kiwi myself, I can fully relate to all of the colloquialisms used and, I used to be a Tour Coach Driver in New Zealand AND the amount of trouble (in a good way) that used to come up when we talk "Kiwi".

Rosalind has put together another awesome book AND, it is sooo real to life. I mean these things happen, words are said in the heat of the moment that we wish we could take back but, as the saying goes, putting ones foot in ones mouth, or that someone should: engage brain before putting your mouth into gear.

I have no hesitation in recommending this book to all (ok, maybe adult readers only, lol).
