Description du produit

Présentation de l'éditeur

Matt Kloskowski, best-selling author and one of the Photoshop Guys, shares his landscape photography workflow here in his latest book. Matt wrote this for anyone who likes to shoot landscape and outdoor photos and wants to learn some of his proven ways to get the most out of them using Lightroom and Photoshop.

He has included some things you’ll want to know upfront, and then goes over each of the things that he personally does to just about every landscape photo he shoots (while the book isn’t advanced, it’s also not for beginners—it’s for users that already know how to use Lightroom and Photoshop). You’ll then look at five of the most common types of landscape shots, and Matt shows you his exact workflow for each one. He shows you, quick and easy, each step in his workflow, so that you can spend less time post-processing and more time shooting.

I'm just starting to take photography seriously and felt like my editing never turned out that great. After reading through this workflow, I've found my pictures have extra pop without looking like I just applied some Instagram filter to them blindly. It's a balancing act that I'm sure will take me years to perfect, but this guide improved my edited pictures noticeably.

Well organized and presented in a logical sequence - just the way you'd be working. (Which was obviously the intent.) I can't wait to sit down at the computer with some existing photos and make them better.

Liked the examples, as they covered every general type of landscape photography. Makes it easy to choose which to start with when we do our edits.

My only complaint (beyond a couple of missed typos - which are easy to ignore) was that the photos were too dark, which made it hard to see the right-side editing selections. I'm viewing on a 3rd generation iPad, so will be interested to see if it's different on the computer.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Good content but too short 23 février 2014

I have followed Matt for a few years now and I really like his style. He teaches in a very easy to understand way without overcomplicating things. This book is no different. It's not really a book though. It's a basic overview of his workflow with a few short examples. It's all good stuff, but very simple. In the intro, Matt states that it isn't advanced, but it's not a beginner's book. I disagree. I would highly recommend this book to someone learning to edit landscapes, but if you've been at it for awhile, you probably won't get much out of this book. I read it in less than an hour.

Matt has a wonderful way of expressing himself to convey his message. I "get it" on the first read, every time. This book is great for landscape photographers using Lightroom, looking to establish a viable workflow. I gave it 5 stars due to the intuitive layout and Matt's inclusion of the Perfect Effects workflow. Well done and informative. Thanks, Matt!

Matt's work on his blog and Kelbyone.com has helped me take good photographs and make them even better with LR5 and PS. This book is a great review of the simple but flexible processing adjustments in LR5 to make your landscape photos really pop. I enjoyed Matt's format of going through examples from sunsets to waterfalls. My favorite was the cloudy day example. It is disappointing to travel to a great spot only to have the weather not cooperate, but he will help you see how these days can be great opportunities for a landscape with a dramatic sky rather than a disappointment. If you like Matt's book, then also check out his great long exposure photography work on his blog.
