Présentation de l'éditeur

This is the third lesson in the series of Little Music Lessons for Kids. Does your child know that, once upon a time, the musical notes were homeless? Once they read the ad placed by the lonely note “G”, and soon all the floors of the musical house were occupied. Your child will learn about how it all happened from this story.

I play the sax so when my 4 year old cousin began to show interest in music I was ecstatic. The only thing is his attention span is short...very short. I'm constantly having to make things "fun" and entertaining in order for him to stay focused. So I knew I'd have to take the same approach when it came to teaching him music.

With Little Music Lessons for Kids (3) I was easily able to relate notes to a little story he's come to know by heart. It translated over easily when applying it to sheet music. Many thanks to the author for helping my little one remain engaged and active while taking his steps toward learning and understanding music.

Our local music teacher recommended this book for our child Jason who is currently taking piano lessons. At level 3 in the series it is not for complete beginners but it was still challenging for our child and he definitely has learnt a great deal. Throughout the book there are numerous friendly and exciting illustrations that will keep your child entertained and enthralled throughout the learning process. In fact judging by the smile on Jasons face it seemed more like playtime than study because we usually can't get him to sit still for longer than 5 minutes. There is a chance he may become the next Sergei Rachmaninov yet! I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to take their child's musical learning a further step in the right direction.

The book features a story for kid and "homework" for parents. The story begins with a note that was lonely and put an ad for an apartment purchase to attract other notes. It also explains a way to use your hands to recognize where each note goes. As someone that never learned how to read sheet music but have a niece that will be learning piano lessons soon, this was a great gift. The illustrations are also pretty.
