Most of us experience stress to a greater or lesser degree at some time, and too much stress can be damaging and de-motivating. Fortunately this author provides strategies to help eliminate unwanted stress and gain balance and purpose. Symptoms of stress are explained here, some of which I had not previously recognised for what they were.

Solutions presented here, though quite detailed, are easy to understand and absorb. In summary, the book is well-written and contains clear and sensible advice.

Living Stress Free is a practical guide that will help you understand what stress is and how to prevent and remove it. I was disappointed the book wasn't a little longer but that doesn't take away from the quality information Perera writes.

Her thoughts and feelings make sense!

This introductory book looks into the emotional, social, and physical issues of stress to start. Which helps you look and the big picture when finding your solutions. This is a book everyone can learn from. I recommend you read it and let the author know what you think!

There are many things that can cause stress -- from physical i.e.s fear of something dangerous, to emotional as worry over your family or job. If we Identify what may be cause us stress is often the first step in learning how to better deal with our stress. Some of the most common sources of stress are: Survival Stress, Internal stress, Environmental stress, Fatigue and Overwork.

The Best, I have found in this book:

This is a great book for understanding, dealing with and illuminating stress. The author takes a look at the medical concerns with stress, its effect on the body and mind. The author also runs through some great techniques for coping with and illuminating stress (such as exercise, nutrition, time management, etc.). There is also a section about stress in the work place which, often times is many people's only major stressor, so understanding how to cope with this is great! The author also discusses how to know when you need to seek medical help because the stress may be more than just stress. I loved the 8 tips at the back of the book with how to deal with stress as well. Great find for anyone dealing with stress in their life, which I am not sure who isn't.
