Présentation de l'éditeur

Third book in the Honor Series.

US Secret Service Agent Cameron Roberts has more than one secret that could destroy her career, not the least of which is that she’s in love with the president’s daughter. Blair Powell, the first daughter, returns the feeling despite her ambivalence about Cam’s role as her security chief, particularly in the aftermath of an assassination attempt that nearly cost Cam her life. In this third book of the Honor series, Blair and Cam struggle to protect their relationship from intensified media exposure even as they are unwillingly drawn into a shadowy conspiracy that puts Cam’s career and the president’s political future at risk. When Cam's previous lover resurfaces to offer support and solace, the president's daughter and her security chief are faced with difficult choices as they battle a tangled web of Washington intrigue and honor.

distrayant mais passé la nouveauté du premier roman c'est un peu toujours la même chose, avec des personnages quasi identiques, des dialogues à l'eau de rose et des scènes de sexe à répétition

5.0 étoiles sur 5 returns to the emotion and sensuality of book one 15 octobre 2011

This is Radclyffe's third book in the Honor Series. It picks up where book two (Honor Bound) left off, minus the action-packed focus. This time around Radclyffe returns to what she does best... she puts a focus on relationships and the seemingly simple interactions they share that are so incredibly emotional and sensual.

In this installment, Secret Service Agent Cameron Roberts and Blair Powell (president's hot, lez daughter) recover from the aftermath of book two's stalker, allow their love for each other to evolve from lust to something stronger and deeper... something that will support them through the media's interest in Blair's love life.

Cam is the Commander In Charge of Blair's security detail, no one knows the president's daughter is a lesbian, and someone's got plans to put the president's political future under fire. Throw in a high-end escort service based in Washington... and we've got some secret lovers to explain.

Cam revisits Claire and Blair revisits her club life... but only as a transition into their deepening connection. They've both changed and can't go back to who they were. Even so, I enjoyed these revisits from book one as they were some of my favorite scenarios. And Cam's first meeting with Blair's father was pretty cute. There's a lot here to like. The chemistry between all of these characters is awesome and these two main characters are Rad's sexiest couple ever, in my opinion.

Personally, I'd like the romance to remain at the forefront and didn't like the action dominating as it did in book two... it just isn't as interesting and is a bit generic compared to what Radclyffe can do with relationships. Book one and three have what I like about this series so far.
4.0 étoiles sur 5 Not the best in the series but still good 3 août 2014

This is definitely not the best out of this series so far. I just started book 4, so I figured I should write a review on this before I get the plots mixed up. What I will say is this: Radclyffe is a great writer, and I love the characters of this book, but I feel like the majority of it was about Cam and Blair in bed, vs. the action plot line which is what makes me keep coming back for more. Don't get me wrong- their romance is great, well-developed, and well-written, but I would have loved a little more development on a few of the other characters, and a few more scenes outside the bedroom to keep the action part of A/R interesting.
I'm definitely going to continue with the series, but this is my least favorite out of the first three books.

This third book was an excellent follow-on to the first two books in this Honor series (Above All Honor, and Honor Bound) in a series I'm generally highly entertained by. It's refreshing for the characters of Blair and Cam that while they're still going for discretion, they've resolved all question about whether they will allow themselves to be together, despite the political and social implications. The author takes this chance to really build them into a team, each with talents and connections and the will and ability to protect the other. For that reason I probably enjoyed this book the best so far.

Love is also in the air for others, such as Stark and Savard, and it even appears that Mac will get a love interest. I like how this book picks up directly where the previous volume left off: the team is still dealing with the impacts of the nearly disastrous show-down with Loverboy at the end of the previous book. Agents are dealing with injuries and grief. Ultimately the dangers in this book are much more political in origin, though they still threaten the life that Blair and Cam want. There has to be an accounting for how the Loverboy bust went so wrong, though it was ultimately successful, and we finally find out why Doyle has it in so badly for Cam.

Even as Blair and Cam are drawn more closely together, even getting to interact with each other's families (I love the scenes between the President and Cam) so is Blair's security team. In response to political pressures Cam is forced to turn to those she trusts, including (reluctantly) some in the FBI, despite the dange to them, in order to get to the bottom of Washington moving/shaking/mis-use of government resources, and domestic spying. I enjoy how Radclyffe brings all the connections together in the end, and I enjoy that her characters experience emotional and intellectual progression, rather than making the same mistakes and dredging up the same dramas over and over again. Another winner in this series that so far gets stronger with each entry.

near its opening, my heart sank will understand when you read this installment but know that the feeling will subside as the context comes into view. another non-stop action book with twists and turns formed around the suspense plot while all the while a deeper love and bond form between Blair and Cam. i only wanted to explore more of the other characters -- specifically the secret service agents -- more closely and in detail as each has new relationships blooming. outside of that, this is another great book... right mix of suspense, love, lust and power play
