Présentation de l'éditeur

New York's trendy magazines are a source of peril when a killer enacts a bizarre dance of death, using the personal ads to lure his victims...
After college, best friends Erin Kelley and Darcy Scott move to the city to pursue exciting careers; Erin is a promising jewelry designer, Darcy finds success as a decorator. On a lark, Darcy persuades Erin to help their TV producer friend research the kinds of people who place personal ads. It seems like innocent fun...until Erin disappears.
Erin's body is found on an abandoned Manhattan pier -- on one foot is her own shoe, on the other, a high-heeled dancing slipper. Soon after, startling communiques from the killer reveal that Erin is not the first victim of this "dancing shoe murderer." And, if the killer has his way, she won't be his last. Next on his death list is Darcy.

LOVES MUSIC, LOVES to DANCE by Mary Higgins Clark is about murder victims when found are wearing a single very expensive high heel dancing shoe. Erin Kelly and Darcy Scott, best friends from college decide to help Nora Roberts who is doing research for a TV documentary on ad dating. Roberts wants to know what type of people participate in this kind of dating and how successful they are at finding a satisfying love interest. Most who participate are well educated, professional men and women in their late twenties to mid-thirties. It all seemed like innocent fun until Erin disappears after rendezvousing with a man who had placed an ad. Days later her frozen body turns up on a NY pier with one expensive dancing shoe that is a perfect fit. Soon it is discovered that eight women over the last ten years have vanished—all had responded to personal ads and met with people in restaurants and bars. The NYPD received hundreds of leads but nothing positive come from any of them. Darcy and a newly assigned FBI agent believe all the murders are linked. Feeling responsible for Erin’s death, Darcy places her own ad hoping to attract the killer. Ironically the murderer has already decided that Darcy is to be the next victim. The ending is gut-wrenching and exciting.
As usual MHC puts together an exciting and well written mystery. I recommend the book and give it a strong 4-stars.

MHC can develop a hanging off the edge of your seat type of mystery! Her formula for creating a story seems to duplicate itself, with the attractive THIN women that are unraveling some type of mystery in her novels. But, still her novels are so very addictive and very fun to read at any time of the day.

Ok, so after reading the synopsis of this novel I had to buy it! However, I got lost in this book because of all the characters at the beginning! However, I forced myself to continue reading and it got a little easier but I still had to struggle getting through parts of the novel that didn't interest me and I had to speed read past at least 40% of the book.

The novel was basically about two young women who are doing a study of why people use personal ads to find love. However, one of the ladies is found dead.

I also noticed that MHC has a way of describing a character and making this sound aged, even though she clearly states that both main characters are in their twenties but have the style or mannerisms of a much older woman.

This was not one of my favorite novels by MHC but that doesn't make me less of a fan.

Wanted to reread this since I'd liked it so much as a teenage, still a very good read, typical romance mixed with a murder mystery.
