5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great shoe and great price! 1 février 2012

I have been wearing MBT's for almost 3 years now and they have saved me from surgery on my feet/ankles. They instantly relieve the pressure on my ankles and upper middle foot and I love how I flow in them. I had recurring tendinitis in my ankles until a friend suggested MBT's and I have not had a problem since. At 300 pounds it is difficult to find a shoe that I can exercise and function in consistently and still be able to walk later and these were the answer to my prayers. I prefer the tennis shoes to the loafer type shoes, and this pair is a great fit. I have very wide feet so I order the men's shoe and the width is perfect, not too wide but wide enough. The price on these($88 when I bought them) was also phenomenal! I snatched them up as soon as I saw the price. I have paid up to $149 for the same type of MBT shoe in the past. Even at my weight they last a long time unlike other brands which break down in 2-3 months these last me more than a year, at least.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Burn extra calories?Twist ankles?Be careful with hills. 26 septembre 2011

First, my podiatrist told me this brand was the "gold standard" for rocker-bottom shoes and that they were originally designed for podiatric patients who needed to give the balls of their feet a break by redirecting the stress points, or "load-shifting" of pressure on the foot. I bought them because I hurt the soft tissue on the ball of my foot. These shoes do help that.
Second, I don't believe they burn many extra calories.
Third, I've never set a shoe on the floor and seen it rock forward and backward or side to side. Unique! I was cautious since my ankles twist easily and can roll over. I've been on crutches a few times and typically like low, flat shoes.) But, I havent had trouble with these. I never wear them all day, so I am particularly mindful of balance and walking when I do.
Be careful. I was walking 4 miles a day pushing a double jog stroller. One day, after a month of intermittently wearing these MBT's and getting used to them a few hours a day, I started my 4 mile walk in these, but I brought my regular shoes too (in the carrying pocket on the stroller. Two miles into the walk I had to change shoes for fear of really straining/hurting my lower legs. It fellt like things were stretching too far and maybe getting micro-tears in tendons. After initially buying them and wearing them a few times I tried walking a mile that included hills. My lower legs were more than sore as a result. I recommend wearing them progressively, and being careful with too many hills until you are extremely used to them.
5.0 étoiles sur 5 First pair for my hubby... now he wants to sleep in them! 7 juin 2013

My husband has seen me spend several hundred dollars on MBT shoes for myself over the past 3 years, and has constantly made fun of me for the cost & style. After telling him for three years what a difference they make (and allowing him to see how much pain I am in when I wear something else), I finally convinced him to try them. I ordered this pair for him, and after wearing them around the house for a few hours, he was hooked! He didn't immediately admit he was hooked, but after a few days he began telling me about a conversation he'd had with a friend. The conversation began with "I used to make so much fun of her..." and went into plenty of detail about how ridiculous he thought the shoes were... and ended with "Now I want to sleep in the ____ things!" His foot pain has been greatly reduced and he's begun wearing them on a more regular basis. He's decided he want me to find him a pair he can wear to work as well... looks like we've got two MBT lovers in my house now!

I got these shoes at a bargain from amazon, and yes these are my first MBT's. So the first days I got some pains in my calf muscles but I read that that is normal. Eventually I got used to them. Then I traveled on vacation with them.
It had just stopped raining and the tiles(interlock type) were dry but as I walked on them I was constantly slipping several times I almost fell but was able to balance my self. As I was pushing my kids pram(double seat) I engaged the brakes but somehow they did not engage and the tram started moving down hill and I ran to grab it but I lost balance and fell flat on my back luckily my wife was with me and she caught the pram.. She had Skechers on and they were not slippery at all. My back and arm were. Not ok for several days... Infant I can still feel the pain now.

All in all I love the shoes but I think MBT should resolve this issue...
4.0 étoiles sur 5 I have to switch to a pair of Ryn shoes that offer great toe support 26 mars 2016

I have back troubles and an arthritic right toe but do a ton of walking in both job and in my leisure time. If I am walking on hard surfaces for a long time, I have to switch to a pair of Ryn shoes that offer great toe support. Otherwise, this shoe is quite suitable. The Ryn shoes have lost their heel support over time. But for general use, this shoe is adequate and quite comfortable.
