I'm a lapsed meditator and thought I'd go back to beginning to see why I lapsed. It's so easy to slip back into the grind of life and forget why you began meditating in the first place. This book offered a number of reminders of why I began in the first place and why I'm going to to make a new effort to meditate daily.

The book goes through a number of ways to avoid relapse and encourages you to focus in on the benefits that most apply to you. For me it's that incredible stillness, the relaxed way I spend much of the rest of the day and the clarity I bring to my work after a meditation.

Meditation has always fascinated me and I have been trying off and on to get down to it with very limited results.
This guide however has really got my attention, it is a no-nonsense approach to meditation for beginners.
I see much clearer now how to go about to achieve the state of deeper meditation than I was ever able to do.

This is a very good guide for people who are starting with meditation.The book has good practical tips and good advise on how to stay motivated with your practice.So if you are thinking of starting meditation then this book is a good beginning.

I've been trying to meditate for a while now. I've done short 5-10minute sessions and I've started to gain more control on clearing my mind. This book helped take me to a new level. Mental attention was a big thing and I would suggest this read to help control your attention a bit more.
