Biographie de l'auteur

Marc Wolenik is the CEO of Webfortis—a Microsoft Gold Certified CRM Partner headquartered

in San Francisco.

As an avid believer in customer relationship management (CRM), Marc wrote a custom CRM application using only ASP 3.0 (prior to .NET) from scratch and incorporated complete back-office enterprise resource planning (ERP) functionality into it so that it could be used as the first of its type web-based CRM, point of sale (POS), and ERP. When Microsoft Dynamics CRM was released, Marc recognized the potential of both its CRM and xRM capabilities and developed a complete services offering around the product. Today, Webfortis offers “soup to nuts” CRM services for their customers.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Learn CRM for the expert 12 juin 2014
Par Howard S. Edidin - Publié sur
Format: Broché
I am a Integration Architect and have worked a little with CRM in the past. Finding the information I needed has always been difficult. I am a hands-on person and like to learn about a product at my own pace. I don't want to have search for the information I need. And I like to get the information from the experts.

Marc Wolenik has provided me with the only book I need for MS Dynamics CRM 2013. Although the book is primarily for Intermediate through advanced users, someone new to CRM 2013 can easily follow along. Quite a bit of the information can be easily understood by a non-technical reader.

Being an author myself, I tend to be critical of how the information flows between topics. And how much information comes from the authors experience with the product, as compared to being copied from other sources. Although there is some published data that is needed, Marc has provided us with original information from his years of experience.

I read the book from front to back and am now looking at sections and examples that help me understand how to work with CRM 2013.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to learn all about Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, no matter what your level of experience is.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Does a great job in covering pretty much everything!!! 23 mai 2014

Without question, this book has jumpstarted our application migration initiatives and we are well on our way to realizing the fullest benefits very quickly. I was doubtful at first that one book would be able to cover everything in the application, but this book managed to address everything we needed - My staff was so thankful for the books, and they have already shown me some prototypes for the new applications, all to the credit of this book. I would have preferred deeper dives in a few areas – additional examples of PBL’s or example, but we were able to figure it out with the examples shown.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great book to read before starting any Dynamics CRM 2013 project 13 juillet 2014
Par Demian Raschkovan - Publié sur
Format: Broché
Great Dynamics CRM 2013 book. I really enjoyed reading it.
It Starts from the CRM main core concepts, explaining Accounts, Contacts, Lead, Opportunities, Activities, etc.
When you understand well those main concepts, it explains how to configure the platform and how to query all the CRM data using charts, reports and views. From that point (just half of the book) starts to explain how to extend all the standard features using solutions, customizations, processes, web resources, web services, etc.

The best advantage of this book is that contains a lot of examples from "the real world" of the Dynamics CRM 2013 projects. This gives to the book a lot of value with experiences about how to implement different kind of solutions in our projects.

This book is a perfect starting point to someone to want to understand what Dynamics CRM 2013 does, and to explore all the extending points of the platform. I also recommend to people who works with Dynamics CRM in previous versions (4.0, 2011), to be updated to the last version.

1.0 étoiles sur 5 Don't buy! It's a rambing scatter brain disorganized dump 17 mars 2016
Par Patrick A. Armstrong - Publié sur
Format: Broché Achat vérifié
If you revel in Scatter brain ramblings this book is for you!
WTF - How did the editors ever approve this book for publishing.

There's no logical flow to the writing - it rambles.
There's no overview to provide context, no general to specific organization.
No context of "How to do.." or "Why this is.." or detailed explanation of each section of the software.

It jumps all over the place with no rhyme or reason.

It's like the author had a bunch of random notes and just typed them with no thought of organizing them or adding any depth.

It's a waste of money and time.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 Apparently not what I was looking for. . . . 18 décembre 2014

I'm disappointed that this doesn't provide enough details in some subject areas (short paragraphs on the subject doesn't cut it) and hasn't really been all that helpful to me as a new administrator of Dynamics CRM 2013. I have found more helpful information specific to what I was looking for, on the web. Perhaps I was looking for something that this book is not. In any event, it hasn't been helpful enough to justify the cost. Just my opinion.
