Atemporel !

The second album from the re-formed band... a bit of a departure from their 80s style but still a solid thrash metal album. Produced by Doyle Bright of Rigor Mortis and is "a conscious effort to achieve the feel and sound of "Tales of Terror" (1985) and "Death and Insanity," (1986)," according to original bassist Tommy Steward. Also back on this release is original singer Stacy Anderson. There's a variety of tracks worth checking out, "Dance Of The Dead," displaying their classic pacing riffs and solos. The drums are fast and intense in "Bed Of Nails," with vocals echoing long and wide with the guitar riffs echoing just as far, breaking out into a killer non-stop solo. "Through Dark And Dawn," and "The Sun Must Die" shows intros that have their own creative way of opening the tracks. Not their greatest album, but still a strong "comeback" effort worthing checking out.

Hallows Eve is an extreme metal band from Georgia who put their first album out in 1984. They released two more albums in the 80s before disbanding. Thankfully some of them got back together in the mid-2000s and THE NEVERENDING SLEEP is their second disk since the reunion, released in 2008. This cd taps into the raw, primal vibe that true metal's all about. Just listen to "72 Virgins," "Bed of Nails," "Army of One," "Interface," "Doors of Misery," "The Sun Must Die" and "Night of the Neverending Sleep." Think Bathory HAMMERHEART, Forbidden OMEGA WAVE and Meliah Rage THE DEEP AND DREAMLESS SLEEP; that should give you a ballpark idea of what modern Hallows Eve sound like.

This album is a great return to form for Hallow's Eve, the riffs, lyrics, drums and vocals are all in perfect standing here. The songs are great both in structure and pure brutal thrashness. Very happy with purchase and I cannot wait for more new music from these underrated Metal Kings. \m/\m/

What the hell is this? If you're a classic metal band looking to make a comeback please, sound somewhat like you did before so we know it's you! This cd sounds like it was a demo recording to get their deal for the Tales of Terror album but with a different vocalist they had to fire because he was the weak link in the band and just plain sucked! There is no original sound to the band. The vocals and music sound like a garage band trying to make it in the high school talent show! They were so damn good back in the day when they had heart and most of all the soul to play great heavy metal. Now it seems everyone is broke so they get their old band back together, use the old name to use it as recognition and then put out half ass music and expect people to buy it and go to their shows! Sorry. Fat, out of shape old men rehashing their classics doing reunion shows is getting old. Overkill never gave up and put out killer stuff and yes, they're old but they still kick ass. Some bands need to stay retired and not come back to save face. It's like making Blues Brothers 2000. Big mistake.
