I'm not completely disappointed with this book but i have a few concerns. for example, they say guys like women with straight hair and that are slim. I'm black, my hair is naturally curly and i am a curvy girl. I will not be going to the gym and chemically straightening my hair for a man!! So that put me off the book right away. made me feel like the book was aimed at a certain group of women.
It says that you should hold out for a Saturday night date. for a whole month i had plans on a Saturday night and every time i was asked by a guy for a Saturday date i had to turn him down. I dont hate the book but i think some of the things it suggests are a bit dumb.
Then again this book isnt for me. its for women with straight hair and slim figures.

This book has some valid points about being "high value" (surely it's common sense to not pester guys online), but the thought of having to wait to be chosen by who ever happens to want you is utterly depressing. There was a heavy use of stories in the book, which didn't ring true to me. Not a book for me.

If you are at all anxious about relationships ditch this and read "Attached" instead.

The most biased self-help book I’ve read.

The first pages threw me: we’re told that men desire women who are blonde and thin with long, straight hair so that’s what we ladies should strive for in ourselves. Well in my dating world, men like brunettes, curves, pixie cuts and curly hair so I questioned whether I should carry on reading. Because of this, I took the advice with a pinch of salt because clearly I’m not the targeted audience. Clearly the authors only have a one dimensional view of men and are giving advice to attain that type of man... a man I’m not trying to attain.

The only takeaways: don’t wait to get over a man before dating again, and, you don’t need closure from a man you were never in a committed, titled relationship with.

Why Men Prefer ***** is hands down the best dating book I’ve read written by a woman.

If you've got daughters, give it to them when they hit puberty to save them from years of heartbreak and pain! If you've got a husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend you need to get this book to see if he/she is treating you right! There's something in it for everyone!

Was recommended this book by a friend, she told me it would help with my self confidence, It did the opposite by telling my most guys like tall skinny blondes who have long straight hair, and know how to wear make up... but not too much, who wear hoop earrings and gold watches. Which also told me having tattoos is in the top 5 turn offs for men, how having pictures with your friends or a picture with a drink is uncool and a guy doesn't want to see that!

Well as someone who is 5"5 curvy, red hair, hates gold watches and hoop earrings, and has several tattoos.. and who's favourite pictures are the ones with friends when we are being weird because I look happy. This book really makes me feel like I can meet someone...but even if i do i have to wait till he talks to me then even if he texts me I'm not aloud to respond for 4 hours!
