Présentation de l'éditeur

The interesting thought that '98% of the world's people are spending 98% of their time on things that don't matter' opens the latest book from seven-time New York Times bestselling author Neale Donald Walsch, who says with gentleness that this is the reason so many lives are filled with sadness and turmoil, and that the world itself seems continually on the brink of calamity. This circumstance, Walsch says, is nobody's fault. We simply haven't been told or taught what does matter - or, if that question has been answered for us, the answers we've been given have not been accurate. Yet now, the author declares, the human race is receiving an invitation from Life Itself, in the form of a palpable energy shift in 2012 and beyond, to address the question directly - and people everywhere can feel it. Some sense this shift much in the way they can sense, in the sleepy hours of the morning, that it is time to wake up. Others experience frustration at how things are going right now, but they also feel a muted excitement stirring deep within, a restless readiness to respond to a soft but persistent inner voice that has lately been saying: it doesn't have to be this way. Walsch says that this inner voice is correct. One's life does not have to be a series of worrisome and challenging crises involving finances or relationship or health or family, and neither does the world at large have to be a container of constant calamity surrounding its governance and ecology and culture. In his latest book, The Only Thing That Matters, he offers a formula, elegant in its simplicity, that will immediately uplift the life of anyone who embraces it - and that could change the World Entire. --Ce texte fait référence à l'édition CD .

Hmmm, where do I begin? This actually pains me to write. I've been a long time reader of NDW, especially his earliest books 1-3. They helped me so much, I was SO incredibly grateful that they came into my life. I bought this book on CD so I could listen to it during my commute to work. I had to stop listening, it was so obnoxious.. How? At one part NDW makes fun of, puts down, and insults "The Secret" to such an extent, it left me only realizing how JEALOUS he was that he didn't come up with it first. He acts so indignant that The Secret is about getting "stuff". What he fails to mention is that he also writes and has Youtube video's about getting "stuff". Right down to making a vision board (Happier than God). He attempts to throw shame on anyone, including Rhonda Byrne, who wants "stuff". You know, GUILT. If you read the classics, Joseph Murphy, Catherine Ponder, Emmet Fox, etc., they all discuss getting stuff and that it's not a sin, bad, or wrong. Who doesn't want a beautiful home a job they love,, a new car and oh yeah, that beautiful necklace? He continues to bash RB book by saying nothing in it is a secret and the information has been around for hundreds of years. Well, nothing NDW has ever written about was original either. He wrote it in a better way, an easier way to understand, but he revealed absolutely NOTHING new that only he was privy too and would now share. In fact he goes on and on in the book alluding to "the only thing that matters" but won't tell what it is until the end. Reminded me of Three little Words" by Anderson.l Last but not least, NDW likes to hear himself talk. He is so passionate about HIS opinion and nothing else is acceptable. He seems to have gone from believing he channeled God, to believing he is God. He also suggests throughout the book that we buy his other books and poetry by non other than his wife.. But he fails to introduce her as his wife.. I just found the whole thing gross and I have written a ton of reviews here over the years, this is my first true negative, but it was probably the most distasteful material I've ever read and I feel incredibly let down. In good conscious, I can not recommend this

5.0 étoiles sur 5 A MUST read book-fills in all the missing pieces 12 octobre 2012

I've never written a review before but this book is so fantastic that I just had to write one even though I'm only about half way through. It fills in all the missing pieces that I've been looking for and confirmations also. Neale's way of getting the message through is easy to understand and very clear. It is the best book out there for one to understand the souls agenda, our purpose and all the whys and hows. Don't hesitate for one second if you're thinking of buying this book, you WON'T regret it! Don't skip any chapters even though Neale's says that you can if you want because if you do you will miss SO MANY GREAT NUGGETS of wisdom and clarity.

Here are a couple of great nuggets:

"Divinity is all of these things and much more. It is Patience and Kindness, Goodness and Mercy, Acceptance and Forbearance. Wisdom and Clarity, Gentleness and Beauty, Selflessness and Nobility, Benevolence and Generosity. And yes, so much, much more.
You can imagine all of these things, you can think about all of these things, you can hold all of these things as ideas conceptually, but until you EXPRESS all of these things IN you, THROUGH you, AS you, you have not experienced Divinity.
And you will never have an opportunity to experience these things unless Life PROVIDES you with such an opportunity."

"The story of humanity's birthing into the cosmic community of Highly Evolved Beings is already complete, etched into EverMoment.
All has already occurred in that place of Time/No time. It is only the re-witnessing of The Story, with the eyes of our own Consciousness gazing upon it, that is awaited. It is us, bearing witness, that make the story's unfoldment real to us."

5.0 étoiles sur 5 This book Changed My Life! 17 juin 2013

I have had many questions answered in meditation over the years, however, rarely affirmed anywhere at all. I felt lost and alone and thought perhaps I was mistaken listening to my inner guidance. Perhaps I needed to meditate more, receive different information. This book, unlike any other of Neale's book, answered almost every question I had and affirmed, for me, the answers I had received all along!!

I first bought the audio recording and cried on and off throughout the entire recording which I heard in one day! I could not stop listening! It was if an Angel was sitting in front of me and speaking to me personally! Part way through Neale explains he was not the real author, I was! Each person longing to have these questions answered had brought forth this book, magnetized it into being! We all did, together! Then I bought the Kindle version so I could take notes!!

I agree with almost every five star review I have read, so I will not add a long list of details here. If you have ever been confused about "why" you are here, "what" is your purpose in life, "why" reality creation does not seem to be working for your the way you thought it was supposed to, this book might answer those questions and more. I sleep so much better, I feel so much at peace knowing I am not here to "learn lessons and suffer"! It transformed my life! I was taking Neale's class, Living From the Soul not even knowing at first it was based on the book! I recommend it too! I have enjoyed and appreciated this book almost more than any other of Neale's books! It truly did Transform My Life, overnight!

He says it is his most important book since CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD, so important that he has been giving it away portion-by-portion on Facebook all year...

***This is my experience: I was so indelibly moved as I pursued my way through it that I quieted my frustration with some of his writing habits a little over a third of my way through it, as I received such value & benefit from continuing. I changed it all to "I" & "me" & "my" & "we" & "ours"..., both as I read & in all my note-taking (self-affirming!!), & I am still feeling so uplifted from what I've taken with me from it. My life IS changed.

I am writing almost daily (soon to be daily) & feeling more purposeful, accepted, valued, & loved within myself, within my & our world, within my soul & divinity. I am making even healthier decisions & choices for myself. I have released even more from my life. My outlook on others & circumstances is even more accepting & balancing. I think that I could hardly become more appreciative and yet, I have, in more & more situations, ways, & thought constructs. I feel that I understand, now, & I am fullll of thanks, day & night. I am love, I am appreciation, I am abundance, I am ONE

I realize that it is also from the series of readings & realizations I have brought myself through..., but this book brought my integration, the sealing of me through my becoming known to myself, & a sense of myself in the Universe.

While this is a truly excellent book, highly recommended and you can read it on its own:
I suggest that reading other books, such as "Conversations with God" (Vol 1 at least), "When every thing changes..", and perhaps "The disappearance of the universe" first.

For many it will take them to another level, the next step, a bit more awakening and remembering.
Perhaps you will find a growing spreading joy, many "ahh ha!" moments, further understanding, a clicking into place, and a sense of gratitude to the author, as it did for myself. (Who ever you believe the author to be, but you will have to read the book to understand that comment.)
If you have some background and belief or an open mind at least and have come a certain way on the journey already, it will have much greater meaning and you will hear a lot more of God in it.

If you have trouble with even "Johnathan Livingston Seagull", then perhaps you should keep this book on your shelf for a year or two until your journey reminds you again, until you end up back at this book with a feeling you really should read it. Until then, store it like a fine wine. When you do eventually read it, treat it as a fine wine and savour the reading of it.

Clear, simply written about simple tools...
but then all great truths are (as Einstein has said).
