HASH(0x939e9c18) étoiles sur 5 ODB-Greatest rapper ever 24 janvier 2005
Par A. Pierre - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
You can argue for a month straight talking about the greatest rappers and this names will come up-2Pac, Dr Dre, Biggie Smalls, Eminem among several others but there is one rapper that is slept upon..Ol Dirty Bastard. He is so talented and his voice is unlike any other rapper out there-dead or alive. His subject matter is honesty but mixed in a comedic way. Unlike Eminem, his subject matter changes and his voice isnt annoying to listen to after awhile. There will never be anther rapper like him. As for the cd, I will purchase it. I have a couple of mixtapes of ODB and he doesnt disappoint..his voice is so unique and unmatched. ODB to me is the greatest rapper to ever walk earth and I really miss him...I may never met him or known him, but he has a huge impact that no other artist can claim. Long live the underrated and greatest rapper in the world-Russel Jones aka Ol Dirty Bastard aka Ason aka Dirt Mcgirt aka Osirius

this is by far the best ODB cd of all time in my opinion. from the first to the last of it he rips it lyrically. you can really see how he evolved by leaps and bounds. his mature and deep lyrics are accompanied by a flow that i certainly wasn't to expect. i was expecting more of the "warriorrrrrr come out and playayayayay" type flow but to my own pleasent surprise he rips every song from pop shots to the sparks remix as a mature and more evolved emcee. something that upset me at first but then grew on me was the production of this album. im more into the underground scheme of production (rza, nu mark, etc). a majority of the beats on this cd are more along the lines of "crunk" and mainstream. i didnt really appreciate that at first cause i feel like it faded the originality of odb's skill. but i grew to really enjoy how the beats perfectly incorporated dirty's more gangsta approach towards the album. even the skits are ill, since when have skits been worth listening to? even tho i would have wanted more collaborations with wu members on the album, his work with cappadonna, rhymefest, jae millz, and blayzay blayzay were definitely masterpieces. which is where im going to end it. this album is a MASTERPIECE in every sense of the word. when it comes to the credibility of dirty as an emcee, nothing changed. this albums amazing. R.I.P. Russel Jones. the osirus will forever live in the hearts of those who felt wut he was about

HASH(0x9362e930) étoiles sur 5 The Greatest He's Ever Done.... 5 janvier 2005
Par Infamous Jones - Publié sur Amazon.com

Man, peace to the Jones Family and the rest of the Clan brothers about Dirty. Starting off, this is definitely better than both Nigga Please and Trials & Tribulations. It's on borderline to top Return To The 36 Chambers as well. No weird ass singing either from Dirty too much on the album. The DJ Premier Pop Shots is a good track to start off with, showing off ODB's rhyming skills. It's actually a VERY good combination of party songs (Move Back, Go Go Go) and rhyme songs (Pop Shots, High In The Clouds) enough to keep the listener glued to thier headphones. Rahzel, the Godfather of beatboxing, is also a refreshing act as he brings his skills to the 2 skits he does. Sadly, the only Wu affiliate on the album is Cappadonna, no Wu-Tang brothers. The last tracks (Remixes of Dirty Dirty and Pop Shots) are very entertaining as well. This is probably his most solid album..Peace O'l Dirty

Dame Dash, if you are smart, you WILL release ODB's Roc-A-Fella Album!!

I couldn't stop playing Track 2, "Dirty Dirty"! and Track 11 "P*ssy Keep Calling" This is one of the only true pure Hiphop albums of 2004 along with De La Souls "The Grind Date". Unfortunatley Russell Jones is no longer in human existense and that's truly sad. I really miss his crazy eccentricity. He was to the Wu-Tang Clan what Flava Flav is to Public Enemy.

HASH(0x9361b708) étoiles sur 5 ODB Rises From the Dead to Hit Us Up Wit His Genius 5 janvier 2005
Par Raphael - Publié sur Amazon.com
Format: CD
As if Return to the 36, N*gga Please, and Trials & Tribulations hadn't already solidified ODB as one of the GREATEST M.C's of ALL time...he hits us up with one of his most genius works yet...Osirus. This album brings so many elements of everything ancient and modern in the rap game. You will hear everything from kung fu clips, reminiscent of the Wu-Tang's classic albums, to Mozart's Requiem bein' mixed with a crazy ass beat in "Fire." He vocalizes like a pro, like the one and only original President MC, his dirtiness..Ol' Dirty Bastard at the top of his game (sadly pulled from us too early). This album caps off an incredible career of brutally honest lyricist who kept it too real for most, but not too real for his true Wu Bangin' fans! After all, we are all truly "Buck naked in the Wu-Tang clothes"...OOooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. R.I.P. ODB..Keep it Real in Death.
