5.0 étoiles sur 5 I consider this the best case for the All-New Kindle Fire 7" Tablet! 14 novembre 2013

We bought two of these for our sons' Kindles - the All-New Kindle Fire 7" tablet (currently $139.00) - and LOVE them so far. These cases FIT PERFECTLY. I have read a few other reviews stating that they do not, but I assure you that they do fit, and all buttons, ports, speakers are fully accessible. We bought these cases based on previous experience with OtterBox Defender cases for the iPhone, and these are built very similar. It has the internal hard plastic shell with the built-in clear screen protector which basically envelopes the entire device, the rubber/silicone outer cover that hugs around the internal case, and a cover/shell that can be snapped over the front to add another layer of protection when the Kindle is not being used. This cover also doubles as a stand that can be utilized in a variety of ways. I feel confident now that they boys' Kindles are much more protected and can live up the normal abuse children can inflict on electronic devices. Another huge selling point for me was the OtterBox warranty. They have a stellar customer service department! I had a previous iPhone case malfunction and they sent me a new one with a simple email and photo. My mother and two friends have had the same experience. Although these cases do seem to be a bit expensive at first glance, I feel they are 100% worth it based on the quality, amount of protection given, and the OtterBox warranty.

Bought these 2 months ago for the kids Kindles. The Otter Boxes stand up very well to abuse. They were a bit tricky to assemble, but once installed inside the cases, the Kindles work perfectly and are well protected from the normal accidents that kids will have with their devices. Speakers, buttons, and the USB and headphone jacks are all readily accessible, and the cases resist spills, dirt and other eventualities.

The only real difficulty is that if you fail to clean the screen of your Kindle well before closing it in the case, the sensitivity of the screen is impaired. Clean the screen of the Kindle and the inside of the screen on the case thoroughly before you seal it up and there should be no problem.

The case, when closed, protects the Kindle very well, and when open, props the device up nicely at two convenient angles. Ideal for reading whether you are laying on the floor, or seated at a table.

I have been an OtterBox fan for many years and usually do not have any problems with any product they produce. Everything works great as usual with an OtterBox product. This is just as described. This only fits the newer style Kindle Fire HD7’s. The speakers, volume buttons and power button are all in a different location than in the earlier Kindles Fires. All cut outs are great as usual and this case really protects well with a thick design and screen protector. However, I do have one issue. To me, this is not really a big issue being that I purchased this kindle and case for my nine year old son. But to others this may be a deal breaker. This OtterBox case does not have a cut out for the camera on the face of the Kindle Fire HD7. Also over a long period of time use, it does tend to cause heating issues with the kindle but mostly when using wile charging. As thick as this case is, I can see why. Overall, I am pleased with this case. It does its job to protect the device well with a couple of minor drawbacks.

Alright. So I purchased this case because the reviews were stellar, and the first case I bought for my Kindle Fire didn't fit. I had really high hopes for this case and was pretty excited when it arrived.

And then I was disappointed.

First problem I noticed, right away, was the screen protector had a huge mark going down the center. Couldn't clean it. Looks like someone spilled syrup on the case before shipping it. I did manage to get it to where I could barely notice it, so I was gonna let that go.

Second problem was the actual "Getting this damn thing on" part. Taking the case apart would be a bit nicer if certain steps were illustrated better (For example, there's no indication to lift the two flaps at either end of the case in order to get the silicone backing off.). I ended up finding a video on their site that was able to help me, but I shouldn't have had to do that if I had my instructions. Once again, frustrating, but I was willing to let it go.

Third problem, and this is what killed it for me, is the screen protector. My God this thing made navigating my Kindle one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. If we lived in a world where everything on a touchscreen was centered around the middle this case would be fine, but we don't. Hitting anything in the corner (Home button, pulling out the sidebars, etc) went from a simple task to absolute headache. To make things worse, the protector will sometimes register my inputs twice, and I will end up opening almost every app in my carousel when I'm just trying to swipe through. THAT killed it for me.

The fourth problem, even though by problem 3 I was already over this case, is the pressure on the input jacks. Now, I'm no expert, but even I know that you can NOT put pressure on USB jacks. The flap on the casing is far too heavy for the Kindle Fire's USB cord and will put pressure on it over time, which will end up screwing your device's ability to charge.

I bought this case because most of the 1* reviews were about a bad fit. I was willing to risk it because I was sure I wouldn't get 2 ill-fitted cases in a row. Well, I was right about that, but this case, while it did fit my Kindle Fire, did NOT fit my expectations on any level. I find that sad, considering this company's reputation, and I hope they'll take the negative feedback into consideration for their next endeavor.

I'll go back to using my generic Target Kindle case. Yes, it's a bit flimsy, but it does it's job a LOT better than this unfortunate product.

I purchased 2 of these cases for my 4 year old and 5 year old boys' Kindles... It was extremely easy to install them in the case (after figuring out how to get the rubber off for a minute), all the ports are accessible - the covers for them are a little stiff at first, but much easier after the first couple of times we removed them to charge or put headphones on. The buttons for power and volume have texture to them so we can identify them. It took the kids just a couple of uses to get used to that change. The cover/stand is very useful and stands the Kindle up at a good angle. I now do not have to worry about my boisterous boys accidentally breaking their Kindles and we have been very pleased with this purchase... worth the money for the lack of worry and cheaper than replacing the Kindle.
