The world is being held hostage by a cabal. They are threatening to change the weather if demands are not being met. All the top agents and teams have been sent to find and destroy them. Yet each has met with a fatal end.

Cramden (Lee J. Cobb) the head of Zonal Organization World Intelligence Espionage (ZOWIE) has been charged with finding a solution. After placing all the requirements into a 1960's computer and card sorter, they all boil down to one. You guessed it the undisciplined multitalented Derek Flint (James Coburn).

Can he save the world?

He hands back the issued code book and prefers to use his own code which is a progression of 40-26-36. It is based on... well you can guess.

Watch Coburn again in the same role but as a cowboy in "Waterhole No. 3" (1967)

The President's Analyst ~ James Coburn

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Flint Is A Bond Film Without Bond 29 janvier 2015
Par David R. Denend - Publié sur
Format: DVD Achat vérifié
Off the wall James Bond rip-off but still classy. I remember seeing this at the drive-in when I was a kid. I didn't notice all of the tongue in cheek jokes back then. This light-hearted spy cult-classic came along shortly after Dr No and took it to a sort of strange level. Imagine a super spy who has 4 sexy girl friends who wait on him hand and foot. Some people today would consider it not exactly political-correct because of it's misogynistic nature, but putting that aside it comes off as an entertaining jaunt into the 1960s spy craze. The same plot as most Bond films. Big organization wants to dominate the world from a hidden Island and Flint is convinced to bring it down. The violence is toned down and just enough sex permeates this film to make it NR but there's no nudity so it's acceptable for children.

Buy this gem.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Our Man Flint on BLU RAY! 14 novembre 2013
Par J. A. Bradford - Publié sur
Format: Blu-ray Achat vérifié
OUR MAN FLINT on Blu ray, has been something that I hoped would happen for a long time, it was America's answer to James Bond. The film was made in 1965, released shortly after Goldfinger (1964) Although America did many spy spoofs throughout the 1960's, for me, this one was the best. Jerry Goldsmith's musical score, in itself, was something special to behold! The action was plentiful, James Coburn was Derek Flint, secret agent! The production design was striking, especially upon reaching the villains Galaxy Island Base, the climax explosive, literally! Apparently, as I learnt from the commentary, James Coburn performed his Kung Fu style of fighting in the film with a little bit of help from Mr. Bruce Lee himself! who was a close friend. Gila Golan was the 'Femme Fatale' (former Miss Israel of 1961!) and I always particularly enjoy watching Edward Mulhare playing the principal 'chief henchman?' answerable only to the Galaxy Scientists who are seeking out world domination, naturally! Gadgets galore, Kung Fu style fighting aplenty, OTT predicaments for Flint to extricate himself from, humour now and then, style overload in that inimitable manner that only the 1960's seemed able to do! I even acquired a taste and knowledge for bouillabaisse soup after first watching this film! I speak as a fan, of course, and naturally have to say that this film was a product of it's time, but if viewed with the spirit of 1960's film-making in mind, in my humble opinion, this one's not bad! The Blu ray transfer was very satisfying, I couldn't fault it, sound crisp and clear. Overall, a good purchase!
5.0 étoiles sur 5 James Coburn is perfect as a smooth 3 mars 2016

This Flint collection is a slick, 60's farce! James Coburn is perfect as a smooth, 'can-do' anything, James' Bondesque playboy. These movies are SO over the top!!! Hip gadgets, a harem of beautiful girls, groovy music and all sorts of adventure. Great for some laughs - even better, cuz it is played so strait-faced. A couple of my favorite scenes include: IN LIKE FLINT (1967), when Super-Spy Derek Flint 'talks' to his pet dolphin thru a tube placed into the water tank. Also, in OUR MAN FLINT (1966), Flint is attacked by an eagle that's been trained to recognize and attack Americans...:Derek Flint responds, "An anti-American eagle. It's diabolical," These are really a hoot!

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Great '60s kitsch--buy it for the movies and not the bonus features 6 décembre 2012
Par E. Powell - Publié sur
Format: DVD Achat vérifié
James Coburn's Flint movies are truly delightful artifacts of their time. They spoofed the James Bond films at the height of the Sean Connery era and are in many ways the thematic forebears of the more recent Austin Powers movies. In tone, it's kind of like classic James Bond meets Batman (the 1960s TV version, that is). The three-disc Ultimate Flint Collection includes both Flint films, "In Like Flint" and "Our Man Flint" as well as a third disc containing a handful of bonus features.

To be honest, those bonus features weren't much of a bonus at all. The little documentaries were only mildly informative and the 'long lost' TV movie "Dead on Target" would have been better off had it remained lost. Other than a character named Derek Flint, It contains nothing in any way remotely related to the two movies and every negative stereotype of mid-'70s cop/detective/crime drama shows. It's only vaguely redeeming moment is a brief appearance by a then-unknown (and uncredited) Kim Catrall in one of the opening scenes. But don't blink; her moment on screen is very brief.

I am a die hard Flint Fan. I have watched the movie so many times. It is great to have them on DVD and on Widescreen format. It is so much better than my VHS versions.

The one thing that I need to make note. And I have sent Amazon a note. On the descriptions of the package, it states that the 3rd disk contains Screen Tests. I could not find them. It was one of the main reasons I bought the collection. Am I missing it somewhere??? I see the
