For me, when I wake up, I am ready for breakfast. Yet I like to eat a healthy and filling breakfast that will give me entergy and keep me going until lunch time! This book has the recipes and suggestions of proper Paleo foods to eat that do just that.
First, let me say that I am very picky about cookbooks, this one has just what I needed and liked instead of useless recipes that some cookbooks have. Below are the PROS:

+ Recipes are filled with protein rich foods. For me, when I eat higher protien it works 2 great ways for me:
1) I am filled up longer.
2) I have more energy.

+ Recipes are QUICK to make and easy to follow. Most people don't have much time to cook and the recipes in this book are easy and save time as most of the recipes in this book are completed in under thirty minutes, some in as little as five minutes!

+ Easy to read on a smaller Kindle. For me, I own a 7 inch screen Kindle and this book is formatted so well that it is very easy to read!

Highly recommend this book to all!

Nick Bell has published so many books about health, nutrition, well being both of body and of mind that it seems only expected that he would approach the Paleo Diet and all its permutations. In this very well written book he gets to the basics right away - a fine, concise history of the Paleo diet of our ancestors up to the present increased popularity of the Paleo diet as a means to control weight, boost the immune system, and enjoy a great state of health and well being. Or as Nick states, `Fad diets come and go. I mean, you can probably name two or three fad diets right now off the top of your head. The fact is that our bodies crave something that is nutritious, delicious and yet our schedule needs a meal plan that is not terribly time consuming. The solution: The Paleo Diet for Weight Loss: Quick & Easy Paleo Breakfast Recipes to Help You Lose Weight, Supercharge Your Health and Look Amazing.'

This particular book (there are several in this series) concentrates on Breakfasts. Nick tells how to evaluate our kitchen and pantry, what to have on hand and how to shop, and then proceeds to offer recipes with detailed ingredients and instructions on preparing breakfasts of Breakfast Smoothie, Breakfast Salad with Eggs, Granola Cereal with No Grain, Zucchini Apple Muffins, Onion Omelet, Poached Eggs with Peach Salsa, Breakfast Salmon Avocado Salad, Banana Pancakes, Paleo Frappuccino, Maple Cinnamon Donuts and then some biger Paleo breakfasts for weekends like Paleo Breakfast Casserole, Paleo Turnip Hash Casserole, etc. The only thing missing in this book is a set of photographs to accompany the recipes - always a good guideline when starting out.

After the recipes section there is more information about how to adjust your life to the Paleo lifestyle, what you may and may not have for snacks, a fine section of Gluten Free diet, etc. For those who care about getting healthy - with Increased levels of energy, Improved sleep, Healthier looking hair and clearer skin, Increased mental clarity, Marked improvement in mood and attitude, Decreased bloating and gas, Sustained weight loss, Increased muscular strength, Decreased risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer, Better immune function, Healthier gut flora, Increased absorption of nutrients from food, Reduced sensitivity to allergies and the advantages of the anti-inflammatory aspects of a Paleo Diet, this is the place to come. I have struggled with eating a healthy breakfast, for years! This book has helped me change that. With crisp insights into what a Paleo diet means, this book has a shopping list in it! It gave me recipes of dishes with a unique combination of ingredients. Zucchini Apple Muffins and Salmon Avocado Salad are my favourites. And guess what, I learnt how to make my own granola bars too! You’ll find ample resources on Paleo to dive into. I particularly like a cookie blog he mentions. Easy to follow recipes and resourceful, this book breaks general assumptions of a Paleo diet. Get it!

I enjoyed the straight forward style of this book. The first chapter very clearly and concisely lays out the background of the Paleo lifestyle which is important. Paleo is of course a diet based on what people ate in the Paleolithic age, but the book also reminds us that we also need to strive for a less sedentary lifestyle to improve our health. I enjoyed the breakfast recipes - banana pancakes are my personal favorite but also enjoyed the surprising zucchini apple muffins. If you want to eat healthier and easy to make breakfasts try this book!

Okay, so I don't eat meat.. but there were a couple of paleo recipe books for free so I figured why not give it a shot? I want to cut out my wheat consumption anyways. The no-grain granola makes my mouth water just looking the recipe, not to mention the zucchini apple muffins, and the eggs with peach salsa. I live in a place where we grow really nice juicy peaches so I can hardly wait for peach season so I can make this recipe! Yum yum yum! Great job on the book.
