Elle Jean Pierre delivers a fantastic cookbook, filled with delicious recipes, helpful tips, and much more! The Introduction explains the Paleo Diet, what foods we can eat, and what foods to avoid. This information is interesting, and extremely helpful to those who are Paleo beginners.The author explains the variety of different foods we can eat, such as meat and seafood, and discusses substitutions that are used. In addition, included in the information are the benefits of slow cooking, many helpful tips, and the colorful photos are inviting.

I have been searching for slow-cooking recipes for many reasons. This diet is very popular and healthy, I work long hours, and we were looking for a time-saving change of pace for hot, home-cooked meals. This cookbook is a great bargain for the price, and the recipes are easy to prepare.

The prep time is given, along with the number of servings, and several of the ingredients are common. Some of the recipes included are: Tropical Pork Ribs; One-Pot Stuffed Tomatoes; Chicken Pad Thai; Red Pepper Pulled Chicken; Bacon And Chicken; Meatloaf; Spicy pulled Pork; Creamy Coconut Chicken; Sausage-Stuffed Pork; Crab Chowder; and many more. There are also recipes for Vegetables, and Sides.

Thus far, we made The Classic Roast Beef, The Chicken And Lemon Butter, and The Beef And Broccoli. All were very tasty, and filling. My daughter loves the Beef And Broccoli. We couldn't wait to try the Spicy Sweet Potatoes And Apples. What an amazing cookbook, and perfect for my slow-cooking recipes. Delightful, extremely useful, and a perfect gift for special occasions. Highly recommended to every cook who enjoys the Paleo Diet, and slow-cooking recipes.

This book would have gotten more stars bc the recipes are tasty. However, the author is either naive or careless regarding the ingredient choices. For instance, almost all fish sauce has gluten in it, and many have msg. It's a highly processed food and completely inconsistent with an "unprocessed" diet. Same goes for bacon and Italian sausage - many if not most brands contain msg, nitrates, and yes, gluten-containing ingredients. A true Paleo diet would not include these foods unless they were expressly known to come from grass-fed animals that had been processed without all those toxic ingredients.

It irritates me to no end these fake reviews.

I flipped thru the first couple of recipes which included:
Cheddar cheese, gouda cheese, sour cream, greek yogurt, butter, potatoes, and rye toast.

The recipes, even if you are not a strict Paleo eater are medicore at best. Recipe mentions ghee (acceptable for Paleo) but other recipes mention using regular butter or lard. The inconsistencues makes one wonder if they were snagged from various sources bc no gerbil could be so scattered with mere 35 recipes

I will definitely try some of these recipes. I work 9-12 hrs a day and using the crock pot and come home to a finished paleo meal sounds awesome.

I'm a newbie to Paleo, and needed more basic recipes. This is a start, and with a bit more explanation, would be a really good book. I didn't know what some of the terms meant for the ingredients, and they didn't explain.
