5.0 étoiles sur 5 WELL WRITTEN, FULL OF INFO BUT EASY READ 18 janvier 2015

A classic look into the heart of a classic problem. This author approaches the subject from a wide range of perspectives with everything from case histories to the psychological aspects. Addressing both "Peter" and his emotional hostages, he makes his point, but not without suggestions or potential solutions to those in need. His format & style of writing makes it easy to turn the pages. The only draw back is, reader has to factor in the social changes since initial publishing in order to really digest the concept and goal of Dr. Kiley. I've been reading reviews that complain about the lack of a clear cut remedy or a quick fix. I can understand where someone might have difficulty in this area. The text goes on to explain that every case and every one is different, thus making any blanket assessments or solutions would be impossible. If you reread, you'll find your answers laced in throughout much of contents. I am doing research on this subject and have found "The Peter Pan Syndrome" to be a very good source in spite of the 32 year gap between1st publication and today. 1983 seems like a whole other world, but If you think you may know "Peter" then proceed to checkout. Also,in making your decision for purchase, consider the gender of the negative reviewer!!! This is not meant as an insult, just an observation.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great Book About Men Who Don't Want To Grow Up! 11 mars 2014

I read the book and liked it, because I dated a Peter Pan for years! I finally woke up and realized what kind of man I was dating and got rid of him!!!! My cousin married a Peter Pan and I sent this book to her for her birthday. My cousin is realizing what kind of man she married and what she needs to do, to fix the marriage or get out of it! So if you are dating or married to a mommy's boy and he doesn't want to grow up!!!! You need to read this book! Life is too short to have to put up with a man like that!!!!

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Fascinating Read 27 mars 2012

The men described in this book have become a well-documented phenomena at this point, but it's still very interesting to read the book that started the debate. I've read it twice; the first time, I was in a relationship with a Peter Pan but staunchly refused to see that the book described him to a fault. I reread it about a year after we'd parted company and was amazed at how blind I had been. I would have liked to see more than just description... perhaps some advice for how to relate to/ successfully deal with these men in relationships or the workplace, but it's a fascinating read, all the same.

Every man needs to read this because they all have some little boy in them, just some too much more than others! This book will help them to choose to grow up, even if they are seniors. The mere fact that they would read it shows there is hope! lol As for their women, once you read this ladies, you will most likely stop babying men and let them show their strong masculine sides all by themselves. That is of course if you can handle it!
