Gordon Ramsay's last TV series, The F Word, culminated in a competition to find the nation's favourite local restaurant. The layout of this book is rally unique. The pages are divided into thirds (they are actually cut horizontally) with appetizers on the top, entrees in the center and desserts on the bottom so you can mix and match a complete menu and have all recipes open at the same time while you cook. While many of the dishes are a little exotic for my taste (there is a lot of seafood, which isn't my thing), this is a great cookbook with lots of variety. Most recipes are fairly simple and it doesn't take an expert cook to re-create this meals.

I love this book and the concept of the book! I have a small kitchen and I would never buy a 3 stars chef book because I do not have the skills nor the time to do very elaborate cooking. Ramsay makes it easy for the "woman in a hurry" to have a nice and delicious meal in short amount of time! And you can create your own menu because of the way pages are divided. Great book! Love it!

It didn't take me long to try something or a couple things in that book and it was....surprisingly good! I couldn't follow it exactly but I got the technique and the critical ingredients. I will try more when the opportunity is in my kitchen. If you don't know what to fix with what, this is an excellent guide for menu planning. The only reason for only four stars is that I had to translate from centigrade and metric measurements to what I have on hand.

The recipes in this cookbook are very well written and definitely showcase Gordon Ramsay's creativity. Although I am not very crazy about the way the pages are cut like index cards. I do have to say it is a minor inconvenience and exchange for the information within the book. I've noticed that many of Gordon Ramsay's books which have been written in Great Britain are far superior to those written in the United States. For the price of the book I would venture to say is a good investment for any Gordon Ramsay. Although if you are looking simply for creative recipes I would recommend moving on to a different.

I only got the book 2 days ago but so far I'm half through looking at each recipe and I would make about 50%. Many recipes call for many ingredients I don't normally buy, and many also call for alcohol in one way or another, which is the only reason I gave it only 4 stars.

I LOVE the format of the book... apps on the top, entree's in the middle and dessert at the bottom, but all separated so that you can look at an appetizer at the beginning, an entree on the last page and a dessert in the middle all at the same time! Love it! What I really like is that I can now make things I never thought possible, like a directions on how to make rizotto, or any of the other things he makes on Hell's Kitchen or Kitchen Nightmares.

I absolutely recommend this book! I can't wait to start making recipes from his book!
