Good book with important info, went out and bought some. I'm using Nature's Way brand. Seems to work great. Do not use caffeine! It potentiates caffeine and you will wish you hadnt lol.

I first heard about this herb through Root of the Matter almost ten years ago as an adaptogen to stress, which I needed to continue working the 15 hour days. However, before reading this book, I had no idea of the extent of its use besides treating the effects of chronic stress. I think I purchased and read this book over a year ago for the first time and have referred to it a few times since. More recently however, I felt the need to step up and state, "what a great book that has provided so much more info than what I was originally supplied with."

I really like this author for sharing the information he's learned, outside of conventional medicine, which I have never trusted in the first place. Through my own research, I value the writing of this author as he has provided me with additional insight into certain health challenges. My experience with conventional medicine is that they expect not to be questioned and even with so called specialists, they all just push pharmaceutical drugs. Personally, I prefer natural and holistic remedies, including every single topic this author has written about.

The author says this is a "short document... eliminating any padding or fluff." His purpose is to present everything you need to know to decide if this herb is for you.

First, a bit of background on the sources and history of this herb. Then what it is used for-- immune system, derpession, endurance, weight-loss, sexual function, energy and stress. This herb is high in adaptogens with their many benefits. How exactly does it work? He alludes to some current research on this. Then covers the "dosing" recommendations. His "user reviewers" -- positive ones as well as negative one -- help us get a rounder picture of the herb's benefits and what we can expect.

This book "is what it is" -- a quick overview and guide to Rhodiola rosea. There's much more you can learn free on the internet. It's worth learning more.

Short and sweet. Found this book quite informative but would probably have liked a bit more information. The reviews at the end are helpful when you look at the effects Rhodiola has on various people under different conditions.

Great book overall. Very informative and accurate. My only wish is that it noted the fact that low doses of Rhodiola can be over stimulating for some who actually need higher doses to obtain the calming effect.
