De l'enfance à la cinquantaine, l'histoire d'une vie émouvante, une relation forte entre deux personnages que l'on a tant envie de réunir. Tout au long du livre, on voudrait aider Rosie Dunne à réaliser ses rêves. A chaque coup du sort ou mauvais choix qui l'en empêchent, mais qui forgent ce personnage auquel on s'attache tant, on croise les doigts pour qu'enfin Rosie réussisse sa vie ...On rit, on pleure...Un livre que l'on ne peut pas lâcher.

I enjoyed Rosie Dunne. It is a very good book, just as good as her first book P.S. I Love You. As a lovely romantic story, it qualifies as the types that are considered as page-turners and that you will certainly come back to. The pace is fast, the settings are real and the characters are spectacular. This book takes the reader through the ordinary lessons of life where mistakes are made, objectives are achieved and happiness and sadness often at crossroads.
What is more about this beautifully crafted love story is Ahern's exquisite writing style and his remarkable talent for this genre. Life is all about choices and making the best bargain with it. The way Rosie's and Alex's childhoods are told and the unique way that the writer told the story through letters, emails, instant messages and text messages etc was remarkable. Despite its few flaws, this novel was endearing.
Also recommended: THE USURPER by Janvier Tisi, SILVER LINING, ANNA KARENINA , DISCIPLES OF FORTUNE

Intimate and entertaining story.

The intimate format of reading Rosie Dunne's emails and letters over the course of her life makes you truly feel as though you are a part of her story. Ahern creates the correspondence so cleverly that you often forget about the unconventional format in which her book is written. It does tend to drag in parts, but I think that only adds to real-life feeling of the book. The story also has a very predictable ending, but there are many plot twists throughout the story that keep you interested. You can guess the ending right away, but that is not the point of this book - the point is to fall in love with Rosie!
Not quite as wonderful as "PS I Love You", but still a great read.

Dear Alphia... I think your wonderful review said it all.
This book was incredibly fabulous, just as you said. I too, will wait for the sequel as I think Cecelia Ahern is a bloody genius as a somewhat new author. I thoroughly enjoyed "P.S. I love You." ... didn't you?
But this book.... OMG! Genius! What will we do now that we've finished reading it?
I actually listened to the incredible Anna Fields on unabridged... and her voice just gave it the embellishment it needed... like adding precious gemstones. I can't stop thinking about these people.
I highly recommend this book to everyone!
I laughed and I cried.... and I ran home to check my email!
Five stars just isn't enough for this book.

I couldn't out this book down, it was picked for our book club, so I just bought it not knowing it was written through letters, notes and emails. Traveling through years of time. I laughed and cried. Great book
