Présentation de l'éditeur

˃˃˃ 'Sacred Light Spirit Eagle' is a memoir that will change your life and your views about death and dying

Over 5000 Readers Have Already Downloaded This NDE Memoir

Cristael's temperature soared and pain ripped through her body. Spasms clenched her muscles, and convulsions arched her back. Only her head, her shoulders, and her heels touched the bedsheets, while every nerve in her body screamed in unbearable torment.

˃˃˃ And then Cristael died

As she rose up out of her body and floated up to the ceiling of her room, Cristael glanced down. Lying on her bed was a dark shadow, a body without life.

˃˃˃ The Void and the Light

All was silence. Cristael was lost in a black abyss. As she moved through the terrible darkness, Cristael cried out to God for help. Far away a Light appeared. The Light drew closer and closer until it enveloped Cristael with Light and with Love.

"I was surrounded by ripples and cascades of Light, rising and falling all around me, like immense waves in the middle of a huge ocean. Held and sheltered within a mighty flow of Light, I was a tiny girlchild, newborn. I reached out with my glowing hand, and I touched the Light. The swell of a mother's breast took shape under my hand, and I was swept away by powerful currents of Light."

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Too Many Visions, Not Enough Vision, Yet Worth Reading 8 septembre 2014

Ms. Bengston writes well about her fairly interesting life. The only child of a smart, stubborn Scandinavian father and a hot-tempered Irish mother, she had a lonely childhood, exiled to living away from her parents through most of it, and a loveless marriage, entered into at 18 because it seemed better than continuing to be single in Las Vegas in the late 1950s. Two sons and eleven years later, she tossed her husband out, and pursued her dream of being an elementary school teacher. After a decade of this, she quit because her father's slow death was too upsetting to allow her to teach well. Subsequently, odd jobs filled her C.V.

Her parents were victimized by a conniving, vengeful woman and a corrupt court system in New Mexico, and their battle deserves our admiration. The author's continuing care for her ill parents also is to be commended.

The New Mexico education system's sometime prejudice against Anglo teachers is demonstrated, along with the value of having your union on your side. Good Hispanics who supported her make this sad episode a bit less disappointing.

Despite some fine writing, the book was unsatisfying as a testimony for near-death experience, as this comes up for about 1% of the text near the very end, and her earlier multiplicity of spiritual visions suggests a susceptibility to visions rather than a healthy skepticism, which would make her claim more persuasive.

It has been said that the problem with middle-class tragedy is that the hero has no height to fall from. [You cannot commit suicide by jumping from a basement window.] This decent woman's story is interesting, but not compelling.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Real 19 février 2014

I know "real" doesn't sound like much of a review, but I mean it in the best way possible. Reading this book, is like conversing with a down to earth person with an honest heart, who shares openly all the ways others may not have seen her as real or down to earth at all.

I have recommended this book to many people, from all levels of "beliefs" about what Cristael shares, and they have all enjoyed the book. That's what I mean by real!

Read it, you will love it too.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Well Worth Reading 14 novembre 2013

I greatly enjoyed the author's story of her life in New Mexico, and beyond, but I wish there was more information regarding her spiritual experiences and practices more smoothly integrated into the story. Structurally the book is a little disjointed (hence only 4 stars), but the overall content is a satisfying memoir of times long gone by and the author's life struggles, and the spiritual gifts and experiences that have given her strength and grace. Well worth reading.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Interesting reading of the writer's life history and experiences 16 mai 2014

This book interested me for several reasons, some of which I will discuss here. The title was catching but as I read it the life experiences that the she experienced, they were enlightening and her ability to write in detail about her near death experience was very interesting. This book also made me realize that just maybe because of difficult situations that people are in, they are graciously given other gifts to help cope with life and to help others. Many times in life we do not understand people but if we take the time to get to know their life history, it answers a lot of questions. Cristael I really enjoyed this book and will be reading the new one you are writing.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Fascinating powerful story 22 septembre 2014

I found myself transported back to northern New Mexico mid-20th century. I became a part of the story and was carried along in the current like a river. I could see what the author wrote about, feel the wind in the trees and smell the desert sage and juniper as she lived it. the transitions were seamless and one chapter flowed into the next. I read it in two sittings. I was touched and inspired by her flaws and weaknesses as well as her strengths and perseverance. her stories are thought-provoking and encouraging. I will think often about this book and it's contribution to my life.
