I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to understand why in the world anyone would want to eat nothing more than lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. And if you follow this author in her instructional blog, you'll learn that she practices what she preaches because it has served her so well.
Being an American male in his thirties having grown up in the South, I grew up eating the way most people do in this country. As a result, I had grown fed up with my overweight and lethargic body. After months of sifting through websites and ebooks on raw food eating, I was finding even more contradictions and less-than-scientific theories on the subject.
Swayze's dedication to sharing only accurate and scientific information in a way that's easy to incorporate was, and continues to be, a breath of fresh air. I continue to subscribe to her emails. And even though I do not practice the low fat raw vegan diet yet, I am using her blog and her books to continually arm myself with information for when I am ready to make the transition. The information in this book alone has played a major role in my decision to adopt the low fat raw vegan method of eating for the rest of my life.
