très bon disque SSHD pour upgrader un portable gamer , seul bémol sur l'emballage plus que limite pour ce genre de produit, une simple enveloppe bulle ds lequel le disque se balade

utilisé pour remplacer la disque dur interne de ma Playstation 4 slim devenu trop juste en capacité, celui ci rempli sa fonction à merveille !

Très agréablement surpris par ce disque dur qui est très silencieux et rapide, je verrai après lancer plusieurs fois les jeux que joue le plus mais rien que dans les menus ça semble déjà plus réactif

installé dans une ps4 fat c'est un bel upgrade en taille de stockage et vitesse!

Game stutter from the drive

My games randomly stutter for a second or two, but only when stored and run from this drive.

The drive works just fine otherwise, but it for some reason freezes the image of the game for 1-2 seconds, while sound and everything else works just fine. Never had the issue before, and it happens in any game I run on it, be it Spiral Knights, or Team Fortress 2.

Not sure what would cause this, but it's definitely a let-down, since my old 2TB SeaGate HDD is starting to show its age a little (I bought it in 2011).

Sure it's a good price, but I'd be happy to know if this is to be expected from a Hybrid drive, or if this is abnormal.

Get this drive to upgrade your PS4 to 2TB

Got this for my PS4 to upgrade it from 500GB to 2TB.
it's slightly thinner and noticeably lighter than the Samsung drive that was OEM in the PS4.
When you google upgrade PS4 to 2TB this is the drive of choice.
It's a hybrid drive so it's lighter and faster than a regular drive.
A compromise from the high price of a full SSD drive.

It's awesome. Get it!
You'll need to back up your PS4 drive, so get a WD passport drive for doing that if you don't have one and plan to upgrade your PS4.

I popped it right into the back after swapping some screws no problem. Remember to back up all your saves to USB before swapping. I ended up going back to do it.

Great way to upgrade the PS4 disc drive and is east to do as the PS4 disk is housed in its own compartment. Made the load time faster,

I've had this drive installed in my PS4 for nearly two months and have had no issues at all.

This 2TB Firecuda drive replaced the 500GB hard drive in my Playstation 4. It is faster and much larger than the original drive and is a perfect fit.
It is actually slightly thinner than the original 500GB drive, but once the screws are aligned the drive fits perfectly in the bracket.
The drive came very well protected and with a small warranty booklet (in about 24 different languages)
Below are the steps I took to replace the drive in my PS4...

To replace your PS4 drive, the first thing that you will need is an external USB drive for temporary storage of your games (if you don't want to have to re-download all of them). This drive Might have to be erased (reformatted) by the Playstation4 before it can be used for backup so make sure you don't have anything on it that you want to keep. A 500GB drive or larger should be fine. You will also need a USB stick to save the PS4's firmware file that has to be downloaded from the Sony website (although you could use your external USB drive after your backup is done).
If you decide that you want to use an extra USB stick make sure it is at least 2GB or larger. (8GB is probably good)

If you have PS+ make sure you synchronize your saved game data, etc before you do anything else. If you don't have PS+ you will have to backup your saved game data to your USB stick or external hard drive (after you backup your games).

Note that it can take a long time to backup your games if you are upgrading the original PS4 as it only has USB2 ports (several hours).

Once your games are backed up and your saved game data is backed up (or synchronized to your PS+ account) you have to go to the Sony website, on a PC, to download the PS4's firmware file (the full {fresh} install, not the upgrade) and put it in the folder \PS4\UPDATE (note: the PS4 will not find the file if it is not in that exact folder). You also have to rename the file to PS4UPDATE.PUP (if it is not already named this)

Make sure the PS4 is off (unplug to be safe). Remove the old PS4s hard drive and install your new Seagate Firecuda 2TB drive.

Connect your external USB drive (or USB memory stick) plug the PS4 back in to the power and press the power button for 7 seconds.
This starts the PS4 in 'safe mode' which lets you install the firmware file to your new 2TB Firecuda drive.
Select [Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software)] and just follow the onscreen prompts. When you are done you can restore the back up you made of your games and saved game data (or re-sync saved game data from PS+). You'll also have to log back into your Playstation account (assuming you have one).

Hope that these instructions help anyone out there looking to use this great (& recommended) hard drive to upgrade your PS4!
