I bought this watch several months ago, but wanted to wait on the review until I had a chance to take it diving. So after seeing this watch in action, I can say that this is a great watch for any water activity. Keeps great time, very waterproof, easy to see the time, hands very bright at night, the watch stays charged with minimal light exposure. Only downside is I wish the watch was larger in diameter and the date was larger as well.
Simple and effective

I purchased the Seiko Solar Diver because I liked the idea of a thin, lightweight titanium watch which is water resistant to 200 meters. The watch is handsome and lightweight and fits under any shirt sleeve. The titanium in this watch is also durable and resists scratches... after five months it looks brand new. The problem is that the solar movement has now stopped working. The watch has stopped twice (it is well charged and does not exhibit the second hand moving in 2 second steps to signal a low charge) and it takes moving the hands to get it going again. So after five months I have a watch that looks great but can no longer be considered a reliable timepiece. While Seiko generally makes excellent watches and their automatic movements are absolutely reliable, if you are looking for a solar quartz watch I'd recommend Citizen's time-tested Eco Drive. I have had several Eco Drives and they never miss a beat.
