A SEA OF SHIELDS is Book #10 in the 17 book bestselling series THE SORCERER'S RING, which begins with A QUEST OF HEROES (book #1)--a FREE download on Amazon, with over 1,000 five star reviews!

In A SEA OF SHIELDS, Gwendolyn gives birth to her and Thorgrin’s child, amidst powerful omens. With a son born to them, Gwendolyn and Thorgrin’s lives are changed forever, as is the destiny of the Ring.

Thor has no choice to but to embark to find his mother, to leave his wife and child and venture away from his homeland on a perilous quest that will have the very future of the Ring at stake. Before Thor embarks, he unites with Gwendolyn in the greatest wedding in the history of the MacGils, and he is given the honor he has always dreamed of when he is inducted into the Silver and becomes a Knight.

Gwendolyn feels a looming danger to the Ring, and furthers her plans to rescue all of her people in the case of a catastrophe. Erec receives news of his father’s illness, and is summoned back home, to the Southern Isles; Alistair joins him on the journey, as their wedding plans are put in motion. Reece, despite himself, falls in love with his cousin, and when Tirus’ sons find out, they set in motion a great treachery. And Romulus, in the Empire, discovers a new form of magic which may just destroy the Shield for good.

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A SEA OF SHIELDS is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

All 17 books in THE SORCERER’S RING are now available!

2.0 étoiles sur 5 Yet another short story 20 décembre 2013
Par Pitbully - Publié sur

And yet another 250 page "novel" from Morgan Rice. This has been a great series, but the books are so painfully short it feels nothing more then an author spamming out ebooks, trying to make a buck off readers. Any 3 of these short stories would have made a great novel, but Morgan insists on pushing out 200-250 page short stories and charging $3-5 for each. I would love to tell you that these books can hang with authors like Terry Goodkind, George RR Martin, J.K. Rowling and Robin Hobb and in truth, they could, if she were to write an actual novel, but I'm done spending $3 on a book I can read inside 3 hours.

As I said before, both my Son and I have followed this series for quite some time and we've looked forward to the conclusion, but once again its nowhere in site, just another $3 out of your pocket and the feeling that you've been fleeced by an author that could be so much more.

1.0 étoiles sur 5 Ineffable twaddle! 26 avril 2014

The grammar and spelling errors are horrendous! Seriously, does anyone edit or proof read these books before they are published? There are missing words in sentences, and sometimes the author uses the wrong character's names when writing about them. A main character, in each chapter, experiences love, hate, warmth, joy, rage, and terrible grief in the space of a few sentences. Everyone's eyes fill with tears every few paragraphs and then they are filled with incredible happiness. Every time some one says something, the rest of the characters look at them with a new sense or respect or awe. It's an endless cycle of repetitive nonsensical emotions and responses. Worst of all, there is a repeated use of phrases like, "I, myself can't do that." Well, I, myself will not be buying anyone more of these books until the author actually puts some effort into writing them. It's little wonder that Amazon is giving some of these books away for no charge.

I have read the series to date.....and am wondering why.
I know fantasy inherently ignores reality....but there is a point where the realities have to be adhered to.
Here is a mid teen boy...a goat herder in a family of abuse. This lad takes it upon himself to travel to the city...join the legion and become a noted a day.
Add....his mentor becomes the most notable knight....his best friend is the kings youngest son and he falls in love with the younger princess.
And this is the almost ok stuff.........

The author has the need to either have a new monster or issue on each page (i guess more monsters take our mind off the
very poor scripting) OR a blow by blow battle scenario that reads very much like a Dungeons and Dragons dice roll.

Having endured thus far i will read no more....a pity....there were some interesting ideas thrown up.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 10 installments and still a great story. 23 décembre 2013

Just when I thought the story may be over and the end near, I was happy to see new stories begin. Twists and turns, wars and betrayal are everywhere. It is very hard to believe that I have been captivated by these books for the tenth time. I couldn’t put the book down. There is so much going on that it held my attention from beginning to end. The last two chapters left me saying to myself, “no way” and I wanted to keep reading but it ended! I cannot wait for the next installment.

This book has been overdone, skip this book entirely and save your money. The first 3 books of this series is enough to get the gist of the story line and wait for the very last book of the series to come out. I cannot strongly recommend it enough. It is recycled plot through out every book over and over again. It makes me sad because I was a big fan. I know that people say for 4 dollars it is a good book. However for 20 dollars if you are buying it on hardcover it is a travesty. There is spelling mistakes and editing problems and each book get progressively worse. This series is not worth 200 dollars for nothing to change other than the title of each book.
