Description du produit

Présentation de l'éditeur

Joel is young and lonely and a little oversexed. When a thief leaves him naked at the beach, he turns to Sean, a striking, dark-haired stranger for help.

Sean offers Joel a towel, and once they get talking, he tells him all about the Umberto Institute, a medical facility where they’re testing a new aphrodisiac. Sean is signed up for a three week, live-in trial.

A new aphrodisiac? It’s not something Joel really needs. But when Sean tells him they’re paying $4,500, he starts to think.

$4,500 and three weeks with Sean? That’s not an offer he can refuse. But once Joel is in the institute, will he ever get out?

I HATE leaving poor reviews because I know ho wharf this author worked on this even if it wasn't to my liking.... but uhg... I feel like I have no choice here )=

The characters were one dimensional, the "story'" notice the quotation marks, was told and not shown by any degree.. and OMG.. the sex scenes!!!! They were awful! For a book that is literally FILLED with sex it was a complete bust. The sex scenes had absolutely no steam, which I could handle if sex wasn't the main focus of the story!

I love reading, I love erotica, I love m/m but this..... it was just weird. It was weird enough to keep it from a DNF, hence at least the 2 stars, but it never REALLY got figured out. It just stayed weird.

I really wish I could give halves because this would be 3.5 but alas.

So the story starts off a little slow compared to the rest of the book but extremely well. Then halfway through the story in the Institute, things get freaking erratic, confusing, and hectic. So much so that I could only read a few pages before needing a break because my brain hurt. And then the last 10-15% crams a lot in really quickly but it definitely was much better than that middle section. Not entirely sure what "twist" other reviews are talking about though. Ends on a high note but there are still too many questions.

Tests are expected to be sexual, but the $4,500.00 promised for three weeks of tests is too good to pass up for struggling college students. Money can cloud judgement, but when things become life threatening, is it worth it?

Joel is an inexperienced, youthful gay freshman away at college who struggles with making real friends. He does some stupid boy tricks as he searches for experience and love. He stumbles into situations beyond his abilities, and learns a lot about trust.

This book is very interesting for its unusual plot twists and situations. Although sex is the main theme, there are many underlying psychological and physical events to tie emotions and consciousness in knots. And I thought my freshman year was rough until Joel pushed the limits of experiences, but found love at last.

The first word that comes to me in discussing this book is "bizarre." Joel is in a clinical trial that is supposedly studying sexuality in men. Early on we find that Joel is constant having orgasms so he is perfect for the study. If you want to read about men in tight suits that are pretty constantly soaked with cum, have sex constantly with whomever and having all kinds of weird reactions to the medication the this is for you. The book really goes no where and it is tiring to read. My best suggestion: find something else to read and forget about this ridiculous book.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 I didnt liked this book for many reasons 3 décembre 2015

I didnt liked this book for many reasons. The first, the main character was realu unlikable, from the start i found him ennoying. I feel like i didnt get to know the other characters and there were too many names to remember and i had a really hard time remembering who was who. One of the thing that also bother me, is that it was a bit repetitive.
The plot was sort of interesting and i think it had potential but there were some stuff that happend in the end that i didnt like and felt it ended in a rush compare to how long it take to start with something interesting.
