Biographie de l'auteur

Art Cohen, a Silicon Valley, California-area businessman and entrepreneur, enrolled in Trump University in 2009 with the hopes of becoming a real estate developer, but after spending tens of thousands of dollars and getting nothing of value in return, he joined a lawsuit against Trump University in 2011 and became engaged as a lead plaintiff in 2013, a role he continued through the $25 million settlement in November 2016 and subsequent payouts for Trump University's thousands of victims. Cohen was an alternate-delegate for Hillary Clinton at the 2016 Democratic National Convention and served as president of the Silicon Valley Democratic Club. He is currently a commissioner for the Santa Clara County Moscow Sister City Commission and is a Rotary International member.

Dan Good is an investigative journalist and book writer who's worked for the New York Daily News, ABC News, and NBC News. He lives outside of New York City with his family. --Ce texte fait référence à l'édition hardcover.

There’s an old joke that can be applied to Donald Trump—- Question: How can you tell when Donald Trump is lying? Answer: His mouth is moving. This is the premise of Art Cohen’s brilliant and disturbing TRUMP YOU, whose book follows the trail of lies (literally thousands of ‘em!) before, during, and after Trump’s presidency. Cohen was unfortunately duped into investing thousands to enroll in Trump University, a decision he would soon regret and for good reason. The author parallels the hypocrisy and the cons between the fraudulent promises presented to Cohen (and possibly thousands of others), and the eerily similar attempts to con those who supported Trump during his presidency. Cohen is keenly aware because he was on the front lines of the prosecution against the pre-presidential Trump, and he lays bare the extremely slippery tactics that lured him to invest thousands in Trump’s scheme: ie. The promise of hand picked instructors and mentors whose ‘expertise’ Trump later denied having any knowledge about. (Cohen’s personal ‘mentor’ quickly did a vanishing act after suggesting illegal means to make money on Cohen’s investments!) But during the hearings, the author discovers his own Ace to keep in his sleeve for later —- a ‘hot mic’ moment during which defendant Trump is unaware he is being taped. (No, I won’t divulge the dirt Cohen unearths except to refer to it as ‘The Spanish Thing’ Trump hopes to use to discredit the judge working on his case. But you can probably guess the rest. Hell, bad mouthing those who oppose him has always been Trump’s modus operandi.) There is so much packed into this book that any person with one operating brain cell will see just what kind of monster Donald Trump is — and how dangerous he can be when unleashed. And it’s all documented, which is more than anyone can say about any of the the Liar-in-Chief’s claims to the contrary. Read this and be afraid — be very afraid. Five stars!

Incredible story, much more than the headlines

This was an incredible story. The authors tell it well and it's amazing where the tale went.

We know the headlines, Trump had to settle the lawsuit for his fraudulent real-estate "university" scam. But there's so much more to the story! This book tells it from a personal point of view, of someone who went through the whole process in good faith, was taken advantage of, and then joined the class action suit and became its lead plaintiff. In that position he was privy to some amazing inside information of the goings on in the case and how it relates to the larger political scene.

Whether you're on the Left or on the Right this is a must-read in my opinion to get the whole story. You'll be amazed at the things Cohen uncovered.

This was a really compelling book about the takedown of Trump U. Most of the time, we only hear about the "big story" guys. The CEOs and millionaires and how they do what they do. You rarely hear about the regular guy and how they have to deal with the elephants dancing, where all they can do (generally) is try not to get stepped on. I've read a few books (and a lot of articles) about these shady real estate seminars and never had ANY interest in getting involved in it (hint: it's expensive and it's hard work). But reading Art's description of the seminar, I almost felt like "HEY! I should do this and make zillions!" so I can only imagine how it must have felt to be there in person.

Anyway, the book is very interesting and for anyone who wants to read about one of the very public losses that Trump has experienced, I'd strongly recommend "Trump You"

Great book, just reveals more and more details about the sociopath that we hired to run our country for eight years... Wow, most people that have done any of the shenanigans this guy has pulled off are in prison. With enough money, you can pretty much get away with anything here in the good 'ole USA. Super interesting read.
