The board is huge (a bit smaller than Arkham Horror), solid and comes with two maps for play, the rules are easy to learn for adults, and the pieces are well sculpted. Everything in this game screams Weird War II, except the fact that WWI hasn't ended yet according to the storyline.
Don't let the box fool you about the number of players. The box comes with two sets of five characters (3 heroes and 2 grunts). Technically, ten people could crowd around the board and play each character on the teams, but it's ideally for two people. Future expansions may change this, but this review is for the base Tannhauser game.
Thankfully, the base game is heavily supported by its publisher. New expansions including maps, items, solo characters, and new teams are already out and more are in production right now. Since its still growing, I recommend jumping in now and seeing what the fun is all about.
However, one problem I've found is that important details tend to get left off the cards, whereas, unimportant information is kept in it's stead. I think these cards are in a rough stage, and probably need a few more editorial reviews and revisions before they're up to snuff.
I did find them useful, but at the same time they caused a lot of grief in our games because there were several conflicting with the main rule set that did not agree with each other.
