I love this book. I bought it in Kindle format having bought it for my Mum first, and then had to get myself a paper copy for the pure pleasure of being able to dip in and out when I wanted to. It is a book that needs to be picked up and opened randomly once you have read it from cover to cover, and Kindles don't lend themselves to this kind of behaviour as well as good old fashioned paper. I must have read it several times, not just for the fantastic, clear gardening advice that is given for each month, but also for her wonderful writing. She is funny and touching, and it must be the only gardening book (because that IS what it IS, primarily) that makes me laugh out loud , and yes, I confess, actually cry..... I know! Just read the Intro and tell me that if you are 40 something, have ever lived somewhere you've loved, and had children there, that this doesn't make you fill up?! It's the whole mid life crisis thing. So buy it, read it, treasure it, and put it on the shelf next to "The Morville Hours". Ah now, another great gardening book........
(I hate exclamation marks and I've used two in this message, so it must be good)
Oh yes. It wasn't expensive, and it got here quickly. Thank you Amazon.
