Instructive description of the causes of inequality but lack of proofs.

This book is a presentation of the vision of Stiglitz on the American society, political and financial system. The author describes the systems that lead to the inequality, the lack of political power of poor people and the rent seeking rich people able to accumulate an always increasing wealth. The book is very instructive but lacks of hard numbers to justify the hypothesis of the author. After researching myself I realised that the US society has some poor redistribution of wealth but not as bad as what the author pretends. The inequality did not increase as sharply as what is claimed in the book without clear numbers.
