5.0 étoiles sur 5 Awesomeness as advertised! 25 mars 2013

To all fellow cold coffee haters; this mug lives up the ballyhoo.

Snippets that will make you buy it:
- 16oz's of glorious hot beverage throughout the work day
- well built / durable
- leak proof
- doesn't get that funky aluminum/steel flavor
- easy to clean

My wife has the same mug only without the handle so she can throw it in her purse. I chose this one because it looks more manly. (I decided to throw that in there because I used words like ballyhoo and snippets)

Like all mugs, you have to keep up with the cleaning. Immediately washing out the remnants of whatever libation you consumed will keep it from getting weird. After a couple times of taking out the o rings and reassembling, you'll be a pro. If you don't keep up with cleaning, it will start to taste like a muddled cocktail of high octane funk. So what I'm getting at is... Don't give it a bad rating because you're too lazy to clean it.

Some cons formed from personal opinion rather than mug defect.
* There is a little button in the center of the lid that shows red when the lid is closed. Pushing the button in will make the red go away and you are ready to drink. To me, red means stop, caution, armed, hot. So when I see red on a mug, it translates to "hot liquid will come out". I am often disappointed by this trickery.
* Finding the two sip holes can be problematic, especially in the dark or a rough morning. (Yes, I drink in the dark.)

I have lost a few battles to the lid's slightly confusing design. Some may argue its due to my own idiocy. Well, just wait till it happens to you! Bam.

Buy it!
Good day and drink on.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Best tumbler ever made 21 mars 2017

This is by far the best tumbler ever produced. Able to take big chunk of ice in the summer for hours and keep my morning coffee hot through well after lunch. I have so far bought about 10 of these and only thing that keeps it from being perfect is that the top unit sometimes turns out to be fragile. Always buy the one with the handle since the one without it can misalign where the liquid flows out of and that could be painful w/ piping hot contents.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 NOT a good mug 21 août 2017

This is NOT a good mug. I have been using it at least 6 months, maybe longer. The push-button thing in the top is already worn out. Why does a coffee mug need mechanical parts? It is a hassle to clean - the lid breaks apart into 3 parts plus 2 rubber gaskets. I feel those should be cleaned every day or it would be gross. And there are drink holes on two sides, so if you tighten the lid a little too loose, or too tight, the drink holes are not lined up and you will spill coffee on your shirt. I think my gaskets must be getting loose or something because that has been happening a lot lately. It DOES keep the coffee hot for a long time - a very long time. And so have other Thermos brand mugs I have owned. But this Thermos overall is a dud and needs to go back to the drawing board. I can't believe it made it through product testing. The old ones I had were far superior, but they are discontinued.
4.0 étoiles sur 5 Almost perfect. 26 avril 2017

I almost love my thermos. Lol. It certainly keeps coffee hot for hours and I love the handle. But, after spilling coffee on myself a couple of times because you cannot see the openings in the lid (everything is black) I took a black mark-a-lot and put a dot in the center of the openings on each side. One other suggestion to the manufacture, " please put the drink openings on center of each side, not so close to the handle". It's hard to drink with one hand. But overall, I would still buy it again.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 As Much a Work of Art as a Coffee Cup 30 mars 2013

I've only drunk one cup of coffee from this thing so far, but it's clearly well made and a lot of time went into the design. The interior is SS, which was what I really wanted. The exterior of the cup did not get at all warm while it held coffee, and the coffee stayed plenty warm for the 2+ hours it took me to drink it.

My two criticisms of the cup are that it's so damned tall I think it may have a tendency to tip over (but this hasn't happened yet), and the button to seal and unseal the drinking valve does not have the red "warning, the valve is open" band on it that I thought it would from other reviews I read.

The insert that came in the cup indicates this thing has a 10-year warranty. This is unheard of for a Chinese-made product such as this in my experience. Nonetheless, if I'm able to I will attach an image of the insert card for reference.

The height of the cup means it can't be directly used with my Keurig B145 coffee maker.

Cup is still in near daily use, typically for hot coffee. A couple of times on hot days I've done iced coffee and once left the cup, with ice in it, in the car in sunny 85 deg weather for 6-hours. The interior of the car was well over 100 deg when I returned but there were still solid ice cubes in the cup. Pretty good!

Cleaning the cup components is a little tedious (taking apart the neoprene gaskets and such), but I try to do it once a month to minimize the gunk build up. The gaskets are all good quality and don't appear to be breaking down at all.

All-in-all, I'm still happy with the cup and would buy again after 3-months experience.
