5.0 étoiles sur 5 Vertagear! 10 septembre 2015
Par Jacob Hastings - Publié sur Amazon.com

This is my first gaming chair I have ever bought and I am pleasantly surprised how much more comfortable this is compared to your typical $80-150 chair. I cannot say if this chair is better or worse than a DXRacer or anything like it.

I have read many reviews on this chair and the other lines because I liked the design. Hardware Canucks' review and Legitreview.com's review were the reviews I watched/read and they mention that they had design flaws and Vertagear reassured them they have fixed the flaws in their final product. I can confirm they have fixed everything in those reviews and I have a perfect looking chair!

A little background on the chair and myself: Color I got was White/Black. I am 5' 7" 155-160lbs male with broad shoulders and I fit comfortably in this chair.

Pros: Material is nice, movable arms are firm and not flimsy, handles are firm and not flimsy, reclines 180 degrees (whether you needs this or not), material is breathable and dissipates heat in long gaming sessions, lumbar support is good, headrest does not get in the way too often (I sit upright most of the time and do not lean back often), the colors are nice and not dull, the base is sturdy and I get no wobble.

Cons: When trying to bolt in the backside to the lower part the holes did not line up precisely and required and additional person to physically push on the back to make sure I was able to line up the bolts and the thread. This could have just been my chair/how gaming chairs are, but it was slightly difficult to say the least. I am not taking a star off for this though as I am unsure and I did not mind enough.

Hopefully this helps anyone deciding to purchase a gaming chair or this chair specifically.

So, bought this chair back around March. So lets start with build quality. Over the few months I have owned it, the upper piece of the chair (the back) has started to lean to the right if you are facing the chair. Now while Vertagear was willing to help, it became and endless series of emails, me having to take pics of the lean, the side of the chair, take it apart to take pics of the bolt slots, and so on. I would send them an email with requested pics and be days before I would get a response. But after them telling me that they would just send me a new back piece to replace the one I had, I just gave up. The lean wasn't terrible, as it was lean of a pain than doing all that. I mentioned maybe sending it back and was told it was on me to get it into a box and send it back if I wanted a refund. At the end of the day, I was unhappy with my chair but even more so with idea of having to take it back apart and send it back. Now, the comfort factor. Initially, it was good. But have noticed that been having more and more back pains and neck pains. After seeing my doctor he knows I sit in front of a PC all day for work, he asked about my chair. He then deduced that the pains are coming from the wings on the side of the chair pushing against my shoulder and upper back. The neck pains coming from the cushion that was strapped to the top of the chair. No whil me neck is better after taking the cushion off, there is nothing that can be done about the chair wings. So, comfort factor if you are six feet tall with broad shoulders will be bad for you. Should have got the larger chair I guess. Over all build quality other than the slight lean, isn't horrible, just isn't great. Going to put it on Craigslist in the hopes I can at least recoup half my money on it but doubting it seriously.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 New on the block but a worthy competitor 22 juillet 2016

This is a great chair and a worthy competitor to the DXRacer line popular to many gamers.

Pros:

- Packaging of these chairs is very efficient making the overall size great and very easy to unpack.
- Incredibly easy to assemble. It took roughly 15-20 minutes to complete the installation.
- Design is personally my favorite of all comparative gaming chairs.
- Overall build quality is solid and very few squeaks and creaks.
- Does a great job of forcing good posture especially with the pillows.
- Bottom seat cushion is a lot more comfortable than I was expecting and the lumbar pillows work great as advertised.
- All mechanics of the chair work flawlessly.

CONS:

- Check body measurements before choosing a chair. I am about 5'10" and I have a somewhat broad shoulders. The chair fits me well but I am probably cutting it close. If you are a larger guy with decently broad shoulders you might want to look at the SL4000/6000 instead and it was a wider bucket area.
- The chair along with a lot of these types of chairs use small hooks on the faux leather to attack the coverings at the bottom of the chair. This is not an issue at present time but it could at some point lead to tearing on some of these.
- I noticed on day one that my headrest pillow elastic band was partially frayed where it attached to one side of the pillow. I didn't think it would be a big deal as I was only going to use the pillow towards the top of the headrest leaving as little stress on the band as possible. Unfortunately after a single day it is almost entirely torn through. I am trying to see if it can be replaced by Vertagear otherwise I might have to return it to Amazon as their Warranty page recommends a retailer return before anything else.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Good chair despite some issues 21 septembre 2015

There was a small tear at the very bottom of the backrest. It's not noticeable once the chair is assembled as it is pressed against the seat, but a little frustrating. Another thing is the plastic covers that hide the screws and lever for the backrest. the screws are too short, and the plastic doesn't fit nicely with the seat. I did read that was an issue in a review before purchasing the chair, but I was expecting them to make changes (maybe I just got one of the earlier models?)

About the size of the chair, if you are over 6 feet, or have very broad shoulders, you probably won't fit in this chair. The "wings" where the shoulders are are perfect for me at 5'11". Same with the pillow. It fits perfectly behind my neck and without it, my head reaches about height of the chair. I do found that the lumbar pillow is a bit too big for me and can be uncomfortable. It might be that I just have pad posture, and need to get used to sitting with it

Everything else about the chair is fine so far. but its only been a single day with the chair so no other issues yet. I did point out more of its flaws mainly so people are aware. This is a newer product on the market (at least in the US) and i'm sure the quality will improve later on. I took a slight risk with this purchase compared to the more well known DxRacers, but I've over all pleased so far.

Love, love, love this chair! It is soooo comfortable! It gets lots of compliments. I have a standing desk at the office that I use about half of the time, and the other half I sit in this chair. I have some back pain from time to time and this definitely gives me the support I need. The attachment pillows are perfect for my back. Most of the items on my desk and in my office are pink so this chair was a nice addition. Being able to adjust the recline and adjust the arms during the day is amazing. Assembly was very easy and straightforward. The box it arrived in was in great shape, and everything inside was well packaged. Happy to have a boss who embraces my self-expression at the office! This chair is well made and worth every penny! Considering getting a 2nd one for my home office!
