This book starts out with why it is important to be at a healthy weight and the health conditions that could result if you are not at a healthy weight. While there are many books out three with the same information, this book gives helpful information without preaching about being thin. With information on what men have to do to be successful, what women have to do to be successful, and simple exercises to get started, this book has a wealth of useful information and I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to lose weight

I have been trying to deal with a few pounds I put up during the last few months, but although I have tried everything, nothing seemed to work! Until I found this book... Maybe I wasn’t doing the right exercises or maybe I needed more motivation. But the point is that after reading this book I could lose my unpleasant extra pounds. "Walk Yourself Thin" by Bill Rockwell is a short and sweet book packed with useful info about jump-starting your metabolism the good old-fashioned way--with walking and other exercises.

Rockwell does an excellent job of explaining concepts of BMI, overweight and underweight, and how to avoid gaining weight on weekends and vacations. Rockwell also dispels several weight-loss myths, such as why detox does not necessarily lead to weight loss and why all snacking at night is not bad. He tailors weight loss regimens to women and men, and enumerates various exercises (besides just walking) to help lose weight.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in fitness and / or weight loss.

This book mentions walking as a way to get in better shape in about ONE or TWO SENTENCES in the entrie book, and the rest of the time talks about yoga, cardio, working out at the gym (wearing a stylish outfit so that you can hook up with someone, no less!).

I am not saying that this isn't a good book to get ideas on how to IN GENERAL get in better shape with various types of exercise, but the book is titled WALKING: WALK Yourself Thin, when it barely addresses the area of walking yourself thin!

This book showed me how the simple act of walking each and everyday can change my life. The author shows how walking can change your life. I know that sound weird but it's true! after reading this book I started waking on a daily basis and practicing other ideas in this book and I feel great! Highly recommended.
