A very good book, now I just need to start following the principles outlined in the book :-). If you are a person dedicated to you worklife and worried about getting burnt out, then this is a good book for you. if you have a hard time setting work aside then it is also the book for you. If you weekends go by too quickly and you wonder where they went, or what you've done with your time, then yes this is the book for you.

The test of a good self-help book is whether you can consistently, successfully use the content to improve your life. This book was a winner! It was short (hence the word "short" in the subtitle and the low price), which means you can spend more time putting the advice to use. Many self-help books spend a lot of time selling the author's premise and repeating the same ideas in different ways, but Vanderkam avoids this. She gets to the point, providing research-based evidence, practical steps and anecdotes. I've implemented at least two of the pieces of advice Vanderkam offers on a regular basis and have been more satisfied with the way I spend time on the weekends since.

This was my second book of Laura's and she didn't disappoint. The lessons were simple yet practical, insightful and easy to relate too.

Didn't enhance my knowledge on the subject, except the example of Huckabee, but all I can say here is that he has a lot of energy. It didn't mention what time he goes to bed and how he accomplished the tasks on weekdays to be able to be free on weekends. I just would be exhausted if I did what he does. But that all I got here. Some tricks would have been good in it.

This book made me realise that it is really easy to waste your life waiting for the right moment to do things and all it takes is good organisation to start doing them from this very moment.
I believe time is worth more than money and this book gives you really good ideas to make every second count.
I recommend it to everyone, good reading for the start of each year to keep you motivated.
