I didn't like this book at all. It was like a diary of events, on every page there was something like an "event" that always ended with "What's next?." It's something like this: "Today I went to the grocery store and there was this guy. We hit it off and went back to my place and had sex and now I have a boyfriend. Now, what's next?"; "My new boyfriend is awesome and I am having a hard time concentrating on my work because my boss won't leave me alone I think I'll quit this job and look for something better. So, what's next?"; "This new job is okay, at least my boss is a nice old lady. I can't wait to get home and tell my boyfriend all about this new job. Let's see if he's going to be happy for me and then we'll see what's next." Lol, that's exactly how the book goes. After some "events" I gave it up and skimmed to the end.

Exceptional book that hits very close to home for those of us who survived the 80's and 90's. You really brought me to my emotional knees with this one. It's difficult to review this excellent book without spoiling it.

Keep a box of Kleenex handy, you'll need it. The highs and lows and gut wrenching emotions and memories you invoke made me remember those times when I thought to myself "What's next"?

You Daniel Taylor deserve every literary award there is for this brilliant book. I know that I will re-read this one many times and highly recommend it to everyone.

For those of you born after 1975 please read this book.

I hate to review books, but this one deserved to be reviewed.
What's Next is a truly moving and inspirational novel. It makes you laugh and cry, and leaves you wondering what will happen next for Tony. Tony is our main character and narrator, he walks us through all of his life. I think it starts in the 60/70s. And this story is about Tony trying to find happiness in this world. Of course he has low and high moments. I felt like I was right there with Tony through all his struggles. I'm not going to spoil anything but I truly recommend this book and give high praise to the author.
And it's free on Amazon right now. Try it, you won't regret it. Phenomenal job Daniel Taylor!!

I had high hopes for this book but it is just a lifeless catalog of events with no soul or feeling to it. The book also has a number of typos in the book and could benefit from a good editor. One example that stick out in my mind is the modern house that was described as having a "temporary" style instead of contemporary.
