Présentation de l'éditeur

From New York Times bestselling author, J. Daniels, book one in the Alabama Summer series.

When Mia Corelli returns to Alabama for a summer of fun with her childhood best friend, Tessa, there's only one thing keeping her on edge. One person that she’d do anything to avoid.

Benjamin Kelly. World’s biggest dickhead.

Mia hates him with a fury and has no desire to ever see him again. When she decides to start her summer off with a bang and finally give away her v-card, she unknowingly hands it over to the one guy that excelled at making her life miserable, learning a valuable lesson in the process.

Always get the name of the guy you’re going home with.

Ben can’t get the girl he spent one night with out of his head. When she leaves him the next morning, he thinks he’ll never see her again. Until he sees her lounging by the pool with his sister.

Mia is determined to hate Ben, even though she can’t forget him.

Ben is determined to prove he’s not the same guy he used to be.

What happens when the one person you wish never existed becomes the one person you can’t imagine being without?

**Warning: This book is recommended for readers over the age of 18 due to strong language and explicit sexual content.

I give this book a AMEN and a couple Hallelujahs cause it was so good.

Two people that grew up hating each other unknowingly sleep with each other? Sign me up, that sounds like something I want to read.

Mia heads to her hometown in Alabama to spend the summer with her friend Tessa. Those two have a great friendship and it was one of my favorite things about this book. I loved Tessa!

“How are you, anally speaking? Still virginal?” -Tessa
“Very” -Mia
“Well, that’s probably wise considering what he’s working with.” -Tessa

When Mia and Ben realize what they did and who they did it with things get very interesting. Ben goes into claiming Mia and Mia wants nothing to do with Ben. I loved that Ben was still his self while trying to get Mia to give him another chance. To many times authors ruin their characters by having them become over the top romantic and taking their man card just to try win their woman back.

“How am I suppose to make you like me when you won’t let go of who I use to be?” -Ben

Ben is so hot in this book. He does alpha, cocky, funny, and romantic so well and at the perfect moment. He is a cop and men in uniform are always sexy. Always...true story.

“The girl I once couldn’t get far enough away from had become the woman I couldn’t get close enough to.” -Ben

“I want all of your words. I want to be filled with them so that when I go home, I’ll never forget how I made you feel.” -Mia
“You are home.” -Ben

This book is filled with funny scenes between Mia and Tesse, hot scenes between Mia and Ben, and great supporting characters. J. Daniels does a great job of making every character in her books loveable.

I was asked by J. Daniels if I wanted an ARC for “Where I Belong”, and after reading her book “Sweet Addiction”, I jumped at the offer. If this is what we are getting from her first two books, imagine what we get next. She is fantastic and I can’t wait to see where she goes as an author.

Do yourself a favor and use the send a sample option. I bought this because the plot summary sounded cute and had potential. I only got halfway through this book because I didn't want to waste anymore time on it. And, I have gotten through some pretty awful books because there MIGHT be something redeeming further down the line. I usually enjoy a well written romance, even if it is completely unrealistic and contains vulgar and crude language (and this book falls into the unrealistic and crude).

Our hero is completely convinced Mia is the "one" after a one night stand, before he even knows her name. She is also completely obsessed with him. The characters felt poorly developed and the descriptions were blah. Despite the graphic sex, there was no sexual tension at all in my opinion. The only good scenes in this book were between Mia and the hero's three year old son.

If you want to read a good book, about a curvy girl from high school with some insecurities and the boy who hurt her trying to make good, I suggest Playing Dirty by Susan Anderson as an alternate.

Are you kidding me? I thought the book had promise but the story was just so unrealistic that I had to stop at only 25%. Yes I know. How can I judge a book when I only made it 25%? ~spoiler alert~

When a girl goes to a bar to lose her V card, then picks up the first guy to buy her a drink and his third comment is who's house are they going to so they can screw (not word for word but yeah) it just seems fake. Not to mention that she's like, yes I want you to have it cause you seem like a nice guy????? Um, you knew him for 5 minutes before you were out the door with him? Let's give our characters some morals. And the way they speak? I'm in no way a prude, but OMG, it was so fake I rolled my eyes 5x before I said enough with this. Enter at your own risk.

Mia Corelli is ready for a fun, stress free summer. After taking care of her ill mother she is looking forward to spending time with her childhood best friend to unwind. Her only downside is seeing Benjamin Kelly again. After spending her entire childhood being bullied by her best friends older brother she loathes him with the intensity of the rising sun. Determined to make the most of it she vows that this summer is going to be one of new beginnings starting with losing her virginity.

First lesson of the summer..... always get the guys name first.

After spending an amazing night in a strangers arms Mia leaves knowing that all she'll have of him are the beautiful memories of a one night stand.

Ben can't stop thinking about the beautiful woman he spent the night with. He wanted to know her. The shock of his life was finding her sunbathing with his sister. His only thought was that Mia Corelli had grown up right.

There were parts that made me laugh. After all the awful things Ben had done to Mia growing up she is determined that she wants nothing to do with him ever again. As much as she hates it Mia can't help but remember being in his arms. Ben is just as determined that this woman was the "one" for him. I truly enjoyed the way that Mia made Ben work for every little inch with her. I was just an enamored with Ben. He knew what he wanted and he went for it. Proving over and over again that she belonged with him.

All in all it was a sweet love story.

HASH(0x958532dc) étoiles sur 5 she missed her best friend, but being away from her evil older ... 1 juillet 2014

Mia left Alabama 9 years ago when she was just starting high school, she missed her best friend, but being away from her evil older brother was a blessing. Now before visiting for the summer she has one thing she's determined to do before visiting Tessa, lose that peaky V card she's still carrying and boy does she fun the perfect guy to lose it too. Even if she didn't get his name she'll never forget the 5 BIG O's he gave her.

Ben can't get the angel who gave herself to him out of his head, but he can't find her if he doesn't even know her name. And then there she is sitting out by the pool with his sister. he wants her to do anything to have her but her memories of him from nine years ago just might ruin things before he ever gets a chance.

She can't believe her luck that the guy from last night was her best friend's a****** brother she's determined not to let him get to her, but he's determined to have her. it's a war of wills who will be stronger and who will give in? Can he show her that he really has changed or will she only ever see the guy who tormented her when she was young?

Mia is a strong female lead she cares for those closest to her and takes care of everyone except herself. Ben is an arrogant alpha male but he's got a good heart and when he sees something he wants he goes after it with everything he's got he's determined to prove that he's not the same guy who used to torment her as a child.

They push and pull each other and watching the dynamics between the two is as funny as it is frustrating sometimes. I love watching how they grew as a couple and I definitely love the little guy in the story. My only complaint is I wish there would have been more details about them as people the story revolves around their romance but it never really told you a lot about the details of their lives overall I liked the story I just wished for a little bit more.
