Présentation de l'éditeur

Glenn Hastings is a movie star, and by studio execs’ measure, she is considered old at fifty-one. An outrageous flirt, shallow, and conceited, she has allowed her fame to control her life. And now, landing the sexy roles of younger characters seems unattainable. So she did what any insecure narcissist would do. Glenn wrote a book about her favorite person—Glenn Hastings. She was filled with excitement at her book signing of Who Wouldn’t Love Me? And she thought it to be true. Who wouldn’t want to read about her life?

Sophie Marsh just wanted to relax on the only day she had to herself in weeks. But what was she doing? Going to the mall, which she abhorred, to stand in line, which she despised, to get some ridiculous book signed for her best friend who did not have a day off. Who would want to read about some arrogant movie star?

Hold on to your wigs. Glenn and Sophie are on a collision course of laughter, love, and mayhem. Together they’ll try to answer the age-old question: Who wouldn’t love me?

1.0 étoiles sur 5 I like romantic comedies 16 mai 2016

This books was truly irritating bordering unbearable. I like romantic comedies, probably more than most, this book was anything but. The main characters, both over 47, acted, thought, interpreted, and spoke like teenagers. Maybe it was supposed to be funny, but I couldnt quite find the humor in them verbally abusing each other repeatedly. The main characters weren't the only poorly written ones - Addie, Sophie's makeshift mother/mentor/partner repeated disrespected Sophie and was a pain in the ass. If you've read Sweeneys other books with funny old women, Addie was the opposite. Addie never saw or acknowledged Sophie's perspective of varying issues, verbally berating her as a result. She also Gossiped in half truths about varying issues, constantly acting as the foil between Sophie and Glen.

If up you enjoy immature characters who are over 47, poorly written mother figures who couldn't give a damn, and characters who love to abuse each other, this book is for you. This is probably one of the worst books I've read by Sweeney. Read a sample first.

I can't even finish this book and wish I could have my money back. The emotional swings make absolutely no sense. The plot is contrived. The whole thing is a big mess and ranks near the bottom of my list. Do yourself a favor and keep shopping.

There are a few authors that I really like and are an automatic download when they release a new book. Kate Sweeney is one of them and I'm never disappointed. Once again Kate Sweeney delivers a very enjoyable laugh out loud story with charming and lovable characters. You can't go wrong with a Kate Sweeney book. It will brighten your day.

It's kinda fun but hard to believe the heroines are supposed to be over 40 - they behave like teenagers. And immature teenagers at that. It drags too - badly.

Our beloved Kate Sweeney has done it again. She has brought another wonderful tale of love for the over 40 crowd. It full of Kate's remarkable wit and charm. Wonderful character development and great location descriptions making you really get that small town vibe. Kate is such a talented writer I would read her grocery list.
