4.0 étoiles sur 5 Pullip's future daughter 19 mai 2015

It's difficult to review this doll properly, as she's very different from all the other dolls in the Pullip family. She stands about nine inches tall, at a rough guess, and does not come with a stand, so you need to provide your own. (And the standard plastic Pullip stands are too tall for her. The old metal ones work, though. Generic doll stands are always an option, too, of course.) The major difference between her and the other dolls is her body. She has a smaller body than any of the others--even smaller than the Dal/Byul body--and her elbows and knees do not have joints the way other Groove dolls do: they have a rubbery flexibility, without the clicking precision of Barbie knees, and quite frankly I was afraid to try to bend her elbows, for fear of damaging the doll. (The knees bent easily, but the bend looks awkward, as my photo indicates.)

The reason she's so small is that she's Pullip and Taeyang's future daughter, and she's only ten years old, making her significantly younger than the other dolls in the line. Her outfit is probably a school uniform, so while nicely made, it's fairly dull. (Nicely made apart from the fact that you can see the velcro holding the front of the shirt closed.) Her accessories, while few, are nice. Her big bow is glued to a headband, so it's easy to put in and take out. She has the most adorable little pink socks, and surprisingly her shoes actually fit. She also comes with a little white tote bag with a picture of a purse printed on it.

While her body seems a bit sub-par, her head is quite nice. In terms of her facial sculpt, she looks more like her aunt, Dal, than her mother, Pullip. She has a cute, very round--almost chubby--face, and little pursed lips. Her hair is wonderfully curled at the base, while being otherwise straight, and looked nice right out of the box. (Though being a bit more glossy might have been nice.) Her eyes, on the other hand, do nothing for me. Like Dal and Byul, her eyes only look side to side, and don't shut. More importantly, I felt like the eye chips aren't all that good; they almost look like they have a matte finish, and there's something rather lifeless about them. I suspect that her eye chips can be changed out for any other Pullip eye chips (though I have no idea how one goes about doing that) and it's possible that her sub-par body could be swapped out for an appropriately sized and colored BJD body (Obitsu, perhaps) but I can't be sure about that.

If you're looking to complete your collection of the different dolls in the Pullip family (as I was) then you obviously don't want to miss Yeolume, who has so far only been released in this one version. If you're just looking for a nice doll, I'd recommend moving up to Dal, Byul or Pullip. (Some of whom can be had for cheaper than Yeolume at this point...) But if you like the way Yeolume looks, and don't mind the reduced poseability, then there's certainly no reason to turn elsewhere; despite a few minor drawbacks, she's a still a lovely doll for adult collectors.

She's is adorable! I love her so much. The shipping was quick as well. I recommend switching her body with another one though.
