Présentation de l'éditeur

Behind your familiar astrological chart lies another chart entirely, one whose existence you may never have suspected. It carries your treasures and your wounds. Where the astrologer’s predictions and the realities of your life might not in all honesty have lined up, this chart-behind-the-chart will help you see why. This second, hidden chart tells the tale of who you were in a prior lifetime. It speaks of what wounded you then and what work you left undone. It reveals the old ghosts that still haunt you today and it describes what happens when you let them grab the steering wheel of your life.

This chart explains the reasons you have the chart you have today and it clarifies how you can get on with your evolutionary journey. In Yesterday’s Sky, Steven Forrest completes the picture he began painting in his best seller, The Inner Sky, over twenty-five years ago.

Biographie de l'auteur

Steven Forrest is the author of several astrological bestsellers, including THE INNER SKY, THE CHANGING SKY, THE BOOK OF PLUTO, THE NIGHT SPEAKS, and the new astrology classic YESTERDAY'S SKY. Steven's work has been translated into a dozen languages, most recently Chinese and Italian. He travels worldwide to speak and teach his brand of choice-centered "evolutionary" astrology, which integrates free will, grounded humanistic psychology and ancient metaphysics. Along with his busy private practice, he maintains active astrological apprenticeship programs in California, Australia, North Carolina, and Switzerland. He is a founding member of the Ethics Committee of the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR). The musician Sting calls Steven's work "as intelligent and cogent as it is poetic." DELL HOROSCOPE describes him as "not only a premier astrologer, but also a wise man." Callie Khouri, who wrote the screenplay for the mega-hit film Thelma and Louise, praises his "humor, insight, poetry, and astute, articulate observations of human nature." O: THE OPRAH MAGAZINE describes his philosophy this way: "Forrest's approach...stops the blame game in its tracks...we're warriors fulfilling our turbulent evolutionary paths." Actor Robert Downey Jr. says, "I marvel at the accuracy of Steve's readings. He insists that nothing is so grave as to be beyond repair, and correspondingly that there is no rainbow that won't be evaporated by poor judgment in the now. I can't recommend him highly enough." And Rob Brezsny, in his popular "Real Astrology" column, simply calls him "the most brilliant astrologer alive."

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Clear method of delineating a chart using evolutionary astrology techniques. 24 août 2015

I've been a follower of Jeffrey Wolf Green's method of evolutionary astrology for years and didn't realise that there were alternative methods until I came across Yesterday's Sky. While Steven Forrest takes a different approach, the method is complementary to Green's and uses the entire chart to reveal how wounds in past lives affect the present one by using the symbolism of the Moon's nodes and their rulers, thus casting light on behavioural patterns in the present life that we might otherwise miss. Best of all, Forrest gives us a step by step method of delineating the chart in such a way that we are not overwhelmed with information. This is a very well written book and the techniques are clear and easily learned by anyone with a background in psychological astrology.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 This is the must-read book for fans of spiritual astrology 16 mai 2009

Steven Forrest has written the book that beautifully and clearly sets out the principles of Evolutionary Astrology - astrology premised on the idea that our chart reflects the soul's current state and that by evaluating the nodes of the moon and planets ruling and aspecting the nodes we can weave together a symbolic past life story that will help us compassionately understand and heal our karma. Once we can see clearly where we've been and what our next evolutionary steps are, our chart starts to make a lot more sense in both a practical and spiritual way. Forrest explains the philosophy clearly as well as providing a simple cookbook type approach to help break down the details. Definitely recommended.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Brilliant, lucid, and easy to understand! 5 juillet 2015

For conventional astrologists, this book will be a treasure!

For me, it provided not only great astrological information, but verification for concepts I was taught in traditional Druid star lore, where the absence of "charts" made it difficult to picture the relationships. This book made it quite easy, and, I feel, provides a bridge between ancestral and modern approaches to astrology.

Wonderfully written. The nodes in a chart are sometimes difficult to understand as to how they define this incarnation. Steven Forrest explains them in great detail but also in a simple and understandable manner.

One of the best astrologers in the world today, Steven Forrest can't write a bad book. This one helps if you feel stuck or have been blindsided. It is about how to ferret out problems that you may not have resolved in the past, how to find out from your astrology chart the story or theme of that problem, (through the South and North nodes of the moon and their aspects) and how to try to resolve them now. Forrest gives lots of examples along with his wisdom and his fine writing. What a blessing his work is.
