L'album tourne en boucle depuis que je l'ai. Un nouveau groupe bien sympathique. J'aime bien leur façon de jouer avec les 3 voix ça change et c'est agréable.

I enjoy listening to the music and it's a nice "change" to have heavy metal in a major chord progression, but it gets old after listening to it once or twice in a row. The songs are too similar for me; there's not enough variety to keep my interest in the album for an extended length of time, and I find myself switching away from this CD before it's done quite often. That said, the album is still fresh because the band is a unique act combining three vocalists of very different styles. I would recommend it to people who enjoy fast-paced metal music like Dragonforce, Children of Bodom or InFlames. Personally, I have to be in the "right mood" for this kind of music though.

3.0 étoiles sur 5 Great sound and a solid album from a rising new star . . . 30 juillet 2013

This is a great band with a promising future. I love how they fuse metal with a pop sensibility. I have a few complaints despite how enjoyable they are. First of all, I wish we could hear more from Jake E on the album/overall. He has an awesome voice, and in many songs, I feel like the missing piece is not hearing his vocals. He is awesome in Dreamland. I feel he is one of the most underrated metal singers out there. Elize has a beautiful voice, but I feel there should be more duet parts with Jake. Andreas' aggressive vocals are clutch; however, they should NOT be used on ballads. It just doesn't match. The album overall is good (3 1/2 stars), but there is a bit too much redundancy as many songs/melodies sound too similar to each other. I feel like once the band is able to find a greater balance of what I had mentioned previously in this review, we'll have one of the greatest bands in this sub-genre out there. :)

As an avid metal listener I would have never dreamed in a million years that I would be so hooked to this record. I heard it just by chance and first I thought it was one of those soundtracks to one of those dance video games, but with heavy guitars and Ihsahn's cousin on vocals, so I heard it again, and again, and again and I couldn't stop and I was able to capture how musically solid this record is. Take Vanilla Ice, Evanescence and Emperor and put them in a blender, and you get a very sweet and catchy metal shake. I even watched the videos on youtube and how can you go wrong mixing taking it to the man with female MMA!, I guess they're the new breed of Scandinavian badass! It seems they got tired of killing each other and burning churches so they turned to mixing pop and metal a notch beyond what was done before. In terms of favorites, the whole darn thing is good, with Stardust being the high point and Electroheart the low. The female singer is OK but has an outstanding voice, the Jake dude is another Vanilla Ice and the other one with the growls brings the more metal vibe to the songs. Lyric-wise, I'd say the total opposite to Fear Factory, a happy electro world if you will, instead of the being ruled by machines. Finally, this album is leaps and bounds from their first, which is total garbage. Forgive me Slayer and Death for I have sinned and have fallen into the temptation of Pop Metal!

4.0 étoiles sur 5 The next Led Zeppelin? Who knows? 14 janvier 2016

This second effort is really good, but I prefer the first and third albums. They go over similar ground as their first self-titled release here, but the departure comes with their mind blowing third release, Massive Addictive. Electroheart is my least favorite song on here, but otherwise it is reasonably steady and soaring. Future on Hold is a shining masterpiece, and Burn with Me is also powerful. This band is pretty incredible, and inventive. My favorite out of the European Metal Scene. I dare say that they are as close to a next Led Zeppelin as I will ever hear in what remains of my lifetime.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 Impressive modern metal 6 décembre 2013

Taking things one step farther than Lacuna Coil, Epica and the whole host of gothic/symphonic extreme bands who employ a mix of male/female vocalists, Swedish/Danish Amaranthe have a 3 pronged (Elize – female clean vocals, Jake E – clean male vocals, Andy – screams) full-frontal assault. Add to this Olof Morck’s speedy guitar riffs over top of the relentless pounding of drummer Morten Sorensen and a ramped up production mix courtesy of Jacob Hansen and you’ve got a very heavy modern metal recording. The recipe is a success largely due to catchy song-writing and the melodic elements that permeate these short and speedy tunes. And while this is clearly a modern metal record, these guitar solos really are a nod to old-school metal and they work well. There is a bit too much repetition in song structure though, which is the only real criticism. Overall, though, this young band is on to something very special here and if they keep pushing the envelope they should be huge, especially among the younger metal generation.
